"RACIST AND RUDE STAFF!! Never returning. I went to wallace bishop helensvale today with my parents who arrived last night from overseas so they weren’t exactly wearing the nicest clothes as they were still settling in. They wanted to buy a present for my sister in law’s baby shower, either a diamond ring, a gold bracelet or gold necklace. I asked the old indian lady to show me a necklace which my mum liked. My mum wanted me to ask how many karat gold is the necklace and when the indian lady behind the counter said 8 or 9… my mum wanted something higher so i asked her. And her reply to that was “ we do have 18 karat as well but it’s very expensive compared to this” to which I replied thats fine. Can you show us the collection? To which her reply was “ are you sure. Not a lot of people can afford that. Are you sure you wanna see it, its very expensive” to which I replied her again with yes thats fine can you please just show me the collection? And then she said “ i can show it you but its almost 3 times the price of this” My mum then told me to just go to a different shop as she could feel that the indian lady behind the counter was being racist towards us. Long story short… we spent over 4k at a different jewellery store. Dont judge a book by its cover. And you literally should be ashamed of yourself whatever your name was. And just an fyi. I alone could buy your entire shop. Just because we’re not wearing branded clothes doesnt mean we cant afford them. Also dont be racist towards someones parents. You’re lucky i didnt say anything on the spot or i would have given you a earful. Especially considering you yourself are indian. You dont even deserve a job here tbh. Every other jewellery store i went to, EVERYONE is so nice. So helpful. We stood at the front of your shop for good 5 mins and you were talking to the girl at the back, and just kept on talking. Didnt care about the customer at all. I personally wouldn’t even go past your shop now knowing racist people work here. Humble request to the owner. PLEASE CHECK YOUR STAFF. If you are the owner? Well that would explain why every other jewellery store was busy and you guys were dead."

"We bought a gold chain from them for our son for Christmas in 2020 and one of the links broke in March 2021. This was repaired and another link broke this year, so we took the chain back to them. Based on how fragile this chain has been and the need to repair it twice in the first 2 years, we can only conclude that the item is defective and probably made with substandard materials. We have similar gold chains that were bought decades ago and the quality between these chains and the one we bought from Wallace Bishop is like day and night. No comparison. When my wife brought it in today, she was expected to pay for this obviously faulty item to be repaired and they charged her $67. She asked the store assistant if we can get a refund if this chain breaks again after repairing it and was told only within 6 months. After that ? “No, that is not store policy”. Well, then. From now on, it will be our policy not to shop at your store anymore if you cannot provide proper post sales customer service or stand by the quality (or lack thereof) of your products."

"I got my ring cut off my finger and was charged a price I was happy with, I asked how much would it cost to be fixed and was quoted a price which I was happy with. Than I got a phone call saying they couldn't fix the ring but could repair the ring for more than double the price of the ring which I paid for in the first place, which I declined. When i went back to pick up the ring they wanted to charge me again just for someone to look at the ring. Not happy, that been said the lady at the store was polite."

"My son gave me jewellery as a present. However, I don't wear silver, I wanted to exchange it for gold, and of course, I was going to pay the difference. The first time I went to a different branch, they were very rude if I told them, wanting to exchange it. So I left without changing it. I went to Helensvale shop with my son and the two ladies were very nice and didn't mind me asking for an exchange and helped me to choose. I was very happy. Thank you very much."

"I would love to share with you the experience I had at Helensvale store, Sharlene, Lyndell and Dwi were the wonderful team on for the day. Even tho the store was full, Sharlene the repairs lady acknowledged me, and told me she wouldn't be a moment. And this is the reason why I stayed and waited to be served by her. She helped me with buying a pendant and a chain that has suited my outfit for a very special occasion, the girls were so helpful and lovely, they all came over once the store became quite and told me how lovely it looked, and was interested in my story, it definitely made my choice so easy. Thank you ladies for making my experience so amazing, I will be back for sure. 5 stars"
