It's essential to understand that your home and contents insurance policy may only provide limited cover when your boat is stored at your home location. For example, Allianz's home contents insurance policy covers non-motorised watercraft less than 3m in length but not when being used. If your 10-year-old motor needs replacement and is replaced with a brand new one, you may be asked to contribute the price difference. To help you save on insurance premiums, we offer the option to add lay-up months. For each month you nominate for lay-up, we will reduce your premium by 5%. Lay-up refers to the months when you're not using your boat, typically during winter, and it's stored in a secure location. During this period, your boat is still covered for fire, theft, and storm damage at the storage location.

We provide two options for determining the payout amount in the event of a loss: Market Value and Agreed Value. With Market Value, the payout may be less than the amount shown on the schedule, as it depends on the actual value of the boat at the time of the loss. Agreed Value, on the other hand, allows you to agree upon a specific payout amount with Club Marine, although evidence such as a valuation or purchase price may be required.
