About Woodville Primary School
Welcome to Woodville Primary School, a well-established institution in the Woodville Community, with a rich history dating back to 1887. Our school is located in Woodville South, on Evans Street, and is a point of interest for both locals and visitors.
At Woodville, our mission is to build upon the abilities and knowledge of all our students and foster in them the dispositions that will assist them throughout their lives. To achieve this, we explicitly teach our four core school values: Respect, Trust, Fairness, and Co-operation. These values form the foundation of our school community and guide our students' behavior and interactions.
We believe that education is a partnership between the school, the child, and the family. As such, we actively create opportunities for staff, students, and parents/caregivers to work together to ensure the best possible outcomes for our students. We value and appreciate any feedback, compliments, or concerns from our community, as it allows us to continuously improve and better serve our students and their families. Our dedicated staff and leadership team are always available to address any questions or concerns you may have.
As an institution deeply rooted in the Woodville Community, we also acknowledge and respect the traditional owners of the land on which our school stands, the Kaurna people. We recognize their spiritual relationship with their country and honor their cultural and heritage beliefs. We also pay respects to the cultural authority of Aboriginal people visiting or attending from other areas of South Australia or Australia who are present within our school community.
Woodville Primary School is proud to be a part of the South Australian Government Schools, operating under the Department for Education. We are committed to providing a high-quality education that prepares our students for a successful future.
Thank you for visiting our website, and we look forward to welcoming you to Woodville Primary School, where we strive for excellence, respect, and collaboration.

Reviews of Woodville Primary School
"To parents of kids with specific needs, or who don’t fit the mould of convention, definitely consider other schools if you were looking to send your kids here. There are much more compassionate environments which will be better for you and your children. I know of several other parents who have had challenges here, especially when trying to get cooperation to do with special education. A personal example is how our support people and therapists were told after a meeting to stop calling for meetings as it was “wasting Leadership time” on the second visit. Parents wouldn’t ask for collaboration from the therapists with (some of) the teachers and school if they were confident that their children were coping. I had also been told by the head state disability coordinator at the Education department at the time that this school needed an education on special education. This school is behind when it comes their approach of supporting our children."
"Theres alot of nice people and pretty much all the teachers are reasonable. The school doesn't deserve the bad reputation that it has been given earlier on by students, i wont pick on anyone in particular. I love this school but some students need improvement"
"w school some great teachers some terrible for example ms lisa is great mr Nichols is good are there are some other good teachers too. DO NOT LISTEN TO AMIN AZIZ HE CAPPIN. ITS AN ALRIGHT SCHOOL GOOD"
"Worst place I could have grown up, learnt hardly anything a commoner couldn't teach me and the teachers were mostly horrible. Except Miss Lisa she was a true lad. P.S. prob would have been better but they traded out the ok principal for a horrendous human being I personally dislike also, I swear if I heard the word flourish one more time there I would just run out onto the street."
"Only new here this year. But first impressions have been that they just don't talk the talk, they walk the walk even better. Stem programs and music programs that follow through to the high school are awesome thinking. Wish we moved sooner."
