"Just tried to get into the bank to provide an updated form of ID for my home loan documents and there was a staff member blocking the almost closed shutters saying no to everyone wanting to get in because they were too busy. The branch was open for another 1.5 hours and they were turning everyone away. I’ve never experienced this before in my life and it’s ridiculous. This branch need to sort their life out and hire more staff to be able to attend to the customers needs that can’t access a brand during the week. The guy was also very rude and not sorry at all. Poor form!"
"The worst service I’ve ever had in my life . I went to start the process for a personal loan , the lady in the entrance was rude as I’ve arrived 10 min late to my appointment due to a car accident. Then she booked myself to SONIA who didn’t bother to start the application and made the whole application online on my behalf , something that I could have than on my own, but she didn’t bother to explain me why she did that . Basically transfer me to Sydney they called me and after a week I am still waiting that they fixed IT issues in their billion dollar system for a car loan that is for a couple of grands to be approved. By the time they give me an answer I might have saved enough money."
"Today (22 June 2023) at approximately 4:30pm at the Commbank Morley Branch, I made an enquiry with an Indian/Bangladeshi/Pakistani looking lady teller with a maroon lipstick and dark hair - it was only her and another Australian looking lady at the 'teller' area. I was being very polite and was accompanied by a friend who noticed her very condescending and rude tone to me (the Indian/Bangladeshi lady), which was clear racial discrimination. Her very rude tone put me off from pursuing my enquiry and made me leave midway as I felt like a nuisance to her because of her treatment to me: I left feeling very startled, emotional and almost degraded/humiliated. She would repeat the sentences slowly, as if I was unintelligent and was very disregarding to my initial enquiry. If you are looking at training tellers, please tell them to not stereotype/racially discriminate. I am scared of even returning here in person and will find a new place to bank."
"No service and no accountability. I have had the displeasure of dealing with this bank four times in the past week. The service has been dreadful. You wait in line for 40 minutes to an hour for someone to provide service. They are not contactable by phone. The bank made an error last November leaving them on the title of my mortgage which was supposedly discharged at that time. This was discovered when I tried to sell my home. I was passed on to two to three people as no one seems to know or want to take responsibility for what happened. They pointed out that the form wasn't filled out correctly in November. It was their form that was filled out and checked by them supposedly before being processed. They gave me the new forms and I filled them out and brought them back the following day, they marked them as urgent and advised 3-5 working days to complete.. I checked up with the bank on working day 4. I had to visit them as they can't be contacted by phone during business hours. They informed me that I had filled out the wrong forms and would have to resubmit them. YES I was blamed for filling out the wrong forms that they gave me and that were checked by no less than three people. I then dealt with a new bank officer who oversaw the whole concern. The correct forms were submitted the following day and I had to go again in person to the bank. They did confirm with the eastern states that the forms were being processed and I did have the same bank officer follow the matter to a conclusion. However the bank has charged me the processing fees with Landgate that had already been paid in 2022. YES they charged me the costs to fix the mistakes that they made and failed to correct twice before is was remedied this week. Commonwealth Bank use their customers to service themselves. They do not provide service to the customer. Their ethos and business practices are erroneous and are totally moving in the wrong direction. Oh a special mention to the lady that works as the concierge at the bank who greets all the customers as they come in. Very friendly and professional and has a difficult job placating customers that have experienced Commonwealth bank service provision. Extremely helpful and efficient. Thankyou."
