Reviews
"We went in the winter on a quiet day and the lovely train driver let my son sit in the driving chair pretty much the whole ride up and back! My 3 year old was convinced he was driving the tram, got to press the horn at cross overs etc. Highlight of the trip for him, on the way home he was quite put out that they hadn't asked him to drive the ferry! He thought being able to drive the train meant he could drive the boat haha! Great little trip up to the tunnels tour and back down. Perfect if you have little ones or don't have bikes with you."
"$66 for 2*adults and a 2hr tour includes 20min train journey up the hill, followed by a tour into the tunnels and viewing of the gun battery."
"A great little restored railway. The tourist rail motor rattled along at a gentle pace allowing for plenty of happy snaps. We linked this wih the Oliver Hill Battery tour. The driver also gave a comprehensive history of the rail."
"A back in time attraction that stirs some memories for older people, although the young kids on our trip seemed to love it, probably because the driver let them interact a bit. This ended up on the hill where the WW2 gun battery is situated and was very interesting."
"My daughter booked this, knowing my Railway Engineer background and utter utter love for all things trains. It was the best fun I've had with my clothes on. I recommend 3 things to do in your life - go to Perth, go to Rottnest Island, and take this train trip. Magnificent"
