Consultations with Rebecca are priced at $250.00 per hour, with each session lasting approximately 50 minutes. While a GP referral is not necessary to see a clinical psychologist, having one can significantly increase your rebate level. Medicare rebates are applicable to the consultation fee if you have been referred by your GP and have been given a Mental Health Care Plan. With a care plan, you will be eligible for a rebate of $131.55.

Typically, GPs refer patients for an initial six consultations. If further treatment is required, a review with your GP can grant access to an additional four consultations per calendar year. In the absence of a current mental health care plan, individuals with ancillary cover through their private health fund insurer may still be able to access rebates for psychological services.
