Reviews of Sushi break (Sanctuary Cove)
"Love their unagi rice bowls, normally have them for lunch.. my favourite. One time had a tempura vege curry on rice and there were 4 little bits of fried veges, a small amount of curry sauce and decent amount of rice, not value for money at $18. The rest of the food is good but more pricey than most sushi places maybe because of location."
"The foods were exceptionally good!! Especially karaage chicken was so good. highly recommend this restaurant. Also the staffs were kind."
"The grumpiest lady to ever walk on planet earth had an old western shootout stare with me while I was trying to order from the menu. I took 30 seconds of her precious precious time and I saw her become so livid that she punched a hole in the wall in the back kitchen after taking my order. A poor little sweet boy was saying hello, with a great big grin on his face (as it was his first sushi experience he didn’t sleep the night before because he was so excited, It was very clear that it was a big day for him) was completely ignored by the rancid middle aged woman behind the counter. After having eaten here, I went outside and vomited because of how awful this lady was and the knowledge that people are out there like this middle aged woman behind the counter sickens me to my core. Food was mid."
"This store always serves friendly and fresh food to its customers. I am very satisfied with the food. I recommend Gold Coast restaurants!! It's a pity that the image of the store is getting worse because of just one bad employee. But foods are best!!!! We'll Definitely come back!!!"
"If I could leave 0 stars for this review I would. First of all food. Horribly over cooked gluggy rice, nothing fresh available on the train, everything deep fried and covered in mayo and teriyaki sauce. Now all of this could have been somewhat overlooked if the service had been friendly and welcoming which it was not. We entered the restaurant and were looked up and down with a filthy glance by the woman behind the train counter. No hello, good afternoon or welcome instead we got a, are your short wet you can’t sit if your shorts are wet. Now please bare in mind this is a sushi train in a marina where there are a lot of “wet” people walking around. Also this sushi train with plastic and wooden bench seating not Nobu. Any way we actually where not wet just wet patches on our shirts from our hair. She begrudgingly pointed to a table where we could take a seat. Table was dirty with empty plates on it, which we had to clear ourselves as she could not be bothered to walk over take the plates and wipe the table for us. Food was beyond average as I already explained, we all managed one plate each. We gathered up our plates and walked over to the counter to pay. Again the lady could not be bothered to walk over to us but instead yelled at us from behind the counter: “ How many plates and what colour. Drinks?” This was definitely not a hospitable hospitality establishment and we will never waste our money here again. Hopefully someone will come along and buy this place and turn it into a proper sushi restaurant."
