Reviews of KOYO
"Spacious restaurant with plenty of seatings, booth seating was quite cool. They also do discount on wednesdays for those who make bookings. Skewers were hit and miss. The meatball skewers were tasty and juicy. Wagyu oyster was good. Chicken skewer was tasty. Karaage tofu was alright, not as crunchy as I thought. Dumplings were tasty. Salmon entree was fresh. Brioche buns were dry but the filling was creamy. The udon was tasty with juicy pork belly. The big steak was very bland, needs more salt, the sauce was bland and butter had no taste. Drinks were alright, the lychee mock tail was not as expected, not sweet and more to the sour side. Overall its some good some bad.."
"Went there for lunch. We were tossing between ordering by dishes or going for the 'Let Us Feed You' set. We decided to order by dishes as this was our first time there and the set costs $70 p.p. We ordered two small plate dishes (crab croquettes and tempura whiting fillet) and two big plate dishes (roast chicken with coriander buttermilk and dry Udon with pork belly). The crab croquettes were nice, but the tempura whiting tasted too lemony to our liking. Between the roast chicken and dry Udon, we prefer the dry Udon. The sauce was nice; there's a bit of chilli as well. Generous servings of sliced pork belly in the noodle. The roast chicken itself is okay; tasted just like charcoal chicken. However the coriander buttermilk was nice and went very well with the chicken. The roast chicken also came with two small fried buns to dip in the buttermilk sauce. In hindsight, we should have just ordered the two big plate dishes, as we were so full after the meals. Planning to go back next time for dinner and try the 'Let Us Feed You' menu. Price wise, we spent around $50 per person including two drinks (iced coffee and a mocktail), which is after a 10 percent discount. The waitress mentioned a couple of weekdays specials: $25 steak with fries on Wednesdays and 20 percent off on Thursdays, but must be with a booking."
"Lovely place with delicious food. Great service and was easy to get a place on a Saturday afternoon. 1 main course with 2 skewers is shareable by 2 for light eaters. Also unexpected was how good the coffee was. Overall, a lovely experience. Not much parking on main road, but parking is available further down on a side road (Olive St)"
"I had the udon stir fry with pork belly and the blue crab brioche buns. Love both the dishes! It was too much for me to eat so I had to takeaway the udon stir fry. I came here before with my friend and had their dinner menu. As good as I remember. Definitely recommend this place for your local Asian fusion cuisine!"
