"Dr Kevin O'Daly, without doubt, has been the best medical practitioner I've ever consulted with. I have been seeing Kevin for seven years now, and we have developed a deep level of trust in each other as patient and treating consultant. He has empathy, is never condescending, doesn't make you feel like youre doctor shopping if you need an extra script and most importantly, he has the knowledge and motivation to keep trying different approaches until the issues start to improve. To those who say he hands out medications irresponsibly, well that's just simply untrue. You just need to take the medications in a responsible manner - its not his fault if you abuse them. Kevin is a kind and decent person, as well as being at the top of his game. If you can manage to get on a waiting list in order to become a patient of his, jump onto it as quickly as possible or you'll be missing out."

"He is friendly and pleasant to talk to but I found him to be quite unhelpful beneath that veneer of charm. I spent a lot of years with him as my psychiatrist because I felt comfortable with him only to realise he never truly pushed me in a useful direction. All he'd do is...agree. Or (more often) talk about what he wanted to talk about, unrelated to psychiatry. Sure, his bedside manner is better than most psychiatrists, but it doesn't make him a better psychiatrist. Deep down, it seems to me like he doesnt actually care. He had a reputation in psych wards as the dr who never showed up to see his patients... if you want someone who doesn't really challenge you and is disengaged, he is probably perfect."

"I've been seeing Dr O'daly for I think five years now and after going through 4 or 5 other psychiatrists, most of which preferred to medicate me until I was a zombie so I was "easier" to deal with, most of whom lacked any general compassion or indication that they actually cared, I found Dr O'daly to be a breath of fresh air. He is very well educated and is constantly continuing to work to expand his field of knowledge. He works with you on the level you are at while still pushing you to improve and encouraging access programs to support and continue to educate you in your fight against mental illness. My one criticism is that the practice can at times be a little disorganised and there have been times where it has been difficult to organise appointments or have forgotten to get back to me when they said they would, but it is my belief that this is due to the high influx of patients he sees because of the level of care, validation and support he provides. Would absolutely recommend but would suggest being persistent with making follow up calls if you've been waiting to hear back and haven't."

"Kevin O’Daly is an amazing man! After years and years of being unstable and reacting badly or having horrible side effects to nearly every antidepressant I tried, Kevin tried me on a different strain of medication and it changed my life! No side effects and I felt like the old me was back! Kevin doesn’t just hand out drugs willy nilly. He takes the time and listens to you and your needs and then comes up with a plan of attack. I always learn something new after a visit to see Kevin and my husband loves coming along too (gets out of work early just to come along) as he thinks Kevin is a wealth of philosophical knowledge and very inspiring.
