As an independent college governed by the Aboriginal Community, we are proud to be leaders in Aboriginal Vocational Education and Training since 1973. At Tauondi Aboriginal College, we provide education and training that nurtures the whole person, while upholding Aboriginal cultures and identities in a way that respects Aboriginal lore and custom, as well as the diverse experiences and ambitions of our students.

In addition to our educational programs, Tauondi offers a wide range of services to meet the ever-changing needs of the Aboriginal Communities in South Australia. Over the years, we have become the preeminent provider of education, training, and employment services to Aboriginal people in the region.

We are excited to announce that Tauondi College will be hosting WIPCE 2022, the largest and most diverse Indigenous education forum in the world. Representatives from across the globe will gather in Tarndanya (Adelaide), the home of the Kaurna Nation of South Australia. The event will take place at the leading-edge Adelaide Convention Centre, situated on the banks of the River Torrens, close to the Adelaide CBD, accommodation, cultural precincts, and a short distance from Adelaide International Airport. WIPCE 2022 will feature an exciting Indigenous education program, including keynote presentations, networking opportunities, interactive workshops, and discussion forums, all complemented by a rich and diverse cultural program.

The name Tauondi comes from the Kaurna language, meaning to penetrate or break through. It is a tribute to the Kaurna people, our hosts, and the traditional owners of the land where Tauondi Aboriginal College is located. Since 1973, we have been delivering nationally accredited courses and non-accredited Adult Community Education programs to the Aboriginal Community and people of South Australia.
