If you prefer to drive yourself, navigating the peaceful streets of Perth is easy. Our whale watching season in Perth is truly a sight to behold, with a focus on two species of baleen whale, each with their own peak seasons. Depending on when you plan to go whale watching and which species you're hoping to encounter, we can recommend the best tour for you.
The epic northern Humpback migration reaches its peak during this time, as male Humpback Whales arrive in Flinders Bay on their journey north to meet female Humpbacks. Witness intense competition pods as up to twenty males compete for the chance to court a female on her migration north.
We eagerly anticipate the arrival of the endangered Southern Right Whales every year, with the first heavily pregnant females often arriving in July. The peak of the Southern Right Whale season is in August, when dozens of mother and newborn calves enjoy the sheltered waters of Flinders Bay. Humpback Whales will also be regularly sighted in August, providing the perfect opportunity to see both species in one day.
Our location at Sardine Jetty, within the Fishing Boat Harbour opposite the Fremantle Ferris Wheel, offers stunning views of Rottnest Island. Experience the ultimate Whale Watch experience right here in Perth, Western Australia.

"Great experience! Was hesitant because I usually get sea sick but the crew was very accommodating and helpful. Had a wonderful time. Recommend it 10/10"
"I am more than happy to give this professional and friendly, family operated business a 5 star rating. I had booked the VIP Captains Lounge Experience for my trip today and was so pleased I had. It was such a treat to watch the whales from the comfort of the Captains Lounge, enjoy the expansive view, the included refreshments and the extra special personal touches. The captain and crew have the welfare and comfort of the whales as a high priority and manoeuvre the vessel when with the whales in such a manner as not to cause them distress resulting in whales who were very comfortable to approach the boat and check us out on several occasions. It was an incredibly enjoyable trip and I will certainly be booking future trips with Whale Watch Western Australia. Thanks Leanne, Drew and the crew for a memorable morning."
"I went today with this family team on their inaugural whale watch trip on the Gold Coast. Just awesome - friendly, knowledgeable, great boat, and the highlight of course was the couple of humpbacks leaping, slapping and providing a great display. An amazing addition to the Gold Coast whale watching industry - I wish them all the best, and highly recommend this venture."
"A beautiful and relaxing trip. They can improve the food a bit and turn off the boat engine when you are close to the whale but overall it is a wonderful experience."
