"What a cute little cafe! My first time in SA, after a rough flight and late check in at the Stamford, I couldn't help but go straight to bed. In the morning, I was absolutely STARVING! After a little stroll down Jetty, Imbiss stood out to me, as did the lovely owner and her partner! Never having tried proper German food before, I was super excited to give it a go, and although I can't remember the name of the dish I ordered, it was probably the best thing I ate during my time in the city! And the coffee! My lord, the coffee was amazing, I'm worried Melbourne might lose its 'coffee capital' status if the coffee is like Imbiss' everywhere in Adelaide! The owners were super accommodating, and when they told me they were still very new to the cafe-owning scene, I was shocked at how well they were doing! So for anyone living nearby, or travelling and end up in the area, please don't do yourself a disservice. Give these guys a go and I promise you won't regret it! "The Italian sandwhich was amazing and so big. We also had the loaded curry fries which was a huge thumbs up. The Schnitzel was also amazing. The coffee is delicious, we even took a bag of beans home. Service was fantastic."

"Walking past by chance spotted this interesting little cafe , which I was just recently opened up a few days ago . I was very intrigued when I asked about the gluten free options and I waa shown how many there was ! Any place that makes an effort to create something gluten free , rather than just giving you gluten free toast is worth trying . There are also vegan options here . Imbiss means snack in German , and there are lots to choose from .The owner and her partner were very friendly and happy to chat about the food options . I ordered the flammkuchen , which is a traditional cuisine , similar to a pizza , and it had speck ( which is the fat contained in cuts of pork , sounds weird , but if you like bacon it’s delicious ) , thinly sliced onion and melted crème fraiche on the base . The base was lovely and thin , easy to eat and the crème fraiche gooey , warm and runny - wonderfully suitable for the cold winters day . May confess , once I started eating I couldn’t stop until it was all gone . Imbiss also has the traditional Wurst as a hot dog , as well as a curry wurst , and the well known schnitzel. You can have these with fries - I was also told that they have separate fryers for the fries so there is no cross contamination. This place has basic seating , stools on benches and a couple of tables , but the vibe is casual and the seating suits the theme . A great place to just sit and relax and eat delicious German comfort food. Looking forward to trying the Wurst !"

"Such a great little cafe, the coffee is absolutely to perfection and the food even better the menu had great options available and catered to GF and vegetarians. The staff are amazing and offer an amazing atmosphere that’s warm and inviting. Will be definitely going back very soon!"
