Welcome to the Scottish Highland Dance Academy, located in the beautiful city of Perth, Western Australia. With over 40 years of experience, we are proud to be one of the leading highland dance schools in Australia.

At the Scottish Highland Dance Academy, we have a strong tradition of competitive success and personal achievement. Our talented dancers have consistently placed in championships across Australia, as well as in Scotland, Canada, and the USA. We are particularly proud of our dancers' wins in prestigious competitions such as the Scottish, North American, Grand Australasian, and International Championships.

Our academy has produced two Champion of Champions of Australia winners, Sophie Massy and Morven Johnston. Morven, in fact, achieved three Scottish Championship wins at the remarkable ages of 9, 12, and 13. In 2018, she also secured an impressive 6th place in the Juvenile world final at Cowal.

Classes at the Scottish Highland Dance Academy are conducted in various Perth suburbs, both north and south of the river. Our curriculum covers championship, competition, examination, and floor show display work. Our dancers receive training from our team of 10 qualified teachers, ensuring they receive the highest level of instruction.

In addition to our competitive achievements, our dancers have had the incredible opportunity to perform alongside the renowned WA Police Pipe Band (WAPOL) at their concerts and community events. They have also graced the stages of prestigious events such as the Edinburgh Tattoo, as well as tattoos in Virginia, USA, Basel, Switzerland, Oman, and Russia in 2019. Our dancers were also chosen as the Perth representatives for the "Scotland the Brave" spectacular, which has captivated audiences across Australia and New Zealand.

One of the most memorable experiences for our dancers was being featured in the music video for the hit song "Fall Down" by the Australian band Jebediah.

At the Scottish Highland Dance Academy, our focus is on teaching highland dancing to a very high technical level. We aim to instill a love for this beautiful art form in our dancers, while helping them fulfill their dreams, meet their goals, and become the best dancers they can be.
