Our founder, Chef Akimitsu Tanihara, is a fifth-generation head chef from the esteemed Dote No Iseya Restaurant in Asakusa, Japan, which boasts a remarkable 128-year history of making Donburi. With his enriched experience and techniques in making tempura and Tendon, Chef Akimitsu Tanihara has mastered the art of creating traditional Tendon in a captivating and artistic way.
For those unfamiliar, "Donburi" refers to a rice bowl topped with seasoned vegetables or seafood. At Akimitsu Australia, we offer a variety of delicious Donburi options that will tantalize your taste buds and leave you craving for more.

Join us for lunch from Monday to Friday between 12:00 and 14:30, or on weekends from 12:00 to 14:30. For dinner, we are open from Sunday to Thursday between 17:00 and 21:00, and on Fridays and Saturdays from 17:00 to 21:30.
