Reviews of Aviation Heritage Museum
"Fantastic experience, a absolute feast for the eyes. Keep up the great work you're doing"
"What a great museum to visit. In comparison I recently travelled to Queensland and spent time at the Qantas founders museum. This Aviation heritage museum is as good as that and has a lot more to look at. What a credit to the volunteers who have created such an informative and detailed museum. I will surely return as you can easily spend the better part of a day there. Would be nice if they had a cafe though as a coffee would have been nice"
"A lovely display of Aviation History. The staff were so welcoming and kind, the display was way larger than we were expecting and such a big variety also. 10/10 Highly Recommend."
"As an avid aviation buff, I often drag my wife to places like this. We had a great time here and stayed for hours and even my wife said she didn't get bored! The knowledgeable staff were very friendly and happy to chat and there were heaps of interesting displays. Highly recommend!"
"I visited from interstate. Decent collection of aircraft and really friendly volunteers. Highlight aircraft include a PBY Catalina, DC3, Machi, Canberra, UH1 and the Panavia Tornado (though it was fenced off when I was there - check the website for updates). The last one is the only one in Australia. The Lancaster is pretty special and there is a viewing platform from above that you should not miss (take the stairs at the side)! I was really impressed at the different ways of involving visitors - there is a VR experience, open cockpit and specific tours. As I was short on time, I wasn't able to try these. There is a dedicated learning space for the kids. I was staggered at the amount of models on display too. Only downside is that I visited in summer and the sheds do get quite hot. There is a note on entry they close on really hot days so call ahead. Highly recommended for any aviation buff."
