Cottesloe Beach Chalets

"Overall was happy with stay. Our room was two bedroom, two storey, 5 beds, kitchen, lounge and balcony. No ocean view and would not recommend for anyone who struggles with stairs. Fridge was on high so everything froze (including a carton of beer). No hair dryer or shampoo and conditioner. Quite dated but great value for money. 5 star on cleanliness! Actually struggled to find any sign of dirt or dust. Comfortable beds. Would definitely bring my family back!"

"Its getting old and bring your ear plugs because their is a night club next door. Staff however were great and their is a pool. Very close to beach."

"If you just want cheap with a good position - go ahead. It was clean. This is advertised as a 2 brm apartment there is a mezzanine level with an open area as the 2nd bedroom, you walk thru that to the main bedroom. There is no power points or lamps in the 2nd bedroom. The bathroom is on the main level to get to the bedrooms you need to navigate a squeaky spiral staircase. There is no washing machine, the dryer doesn't work and the iron burnt an item of clothing because it was so old. The fridge froze all the food we had in it. In need of refurbishment, staff were friendly but I wouldn't re visit."

"We paid extra to get a beachfront apartment, one of the highest priced rooms advertised in Cottesloe. Unfortunately we paid a 4-star price and got a 1-star room. Part of a 1980s complex around a pool but with most units having long-term tenants leaving junk around. One neighbour was clearly a champion burper, letting loose every now and then. The first impression after opening the door was from the musty smell. The rooms have not been renovated in their lifetime - a give-away is the lack of pictures available online. Even the kitchen draws contain 1980s utensils. The cupboards throughout the apartment were misaligned.The lounge suite needs a good clean. The TV image was terrible, suggesting the screen has been dropped or smashed somehow. The toilet trickle fed for more than 5 minutes to refill the cistern. After having a shower the floor mat had black mould on the underside. The spiral stairs to the loft bedroom are a death-trap. The car park was secure but the space very small. It does indeed have a beach view but most people would feel more at home if they put a tent up on the foreshore. We booked and paid for two nights but left after one preferring to lose our money than stay any longer."
