Running a traditional family pub has been a cherished way of life for the Briens since Peter's Grandfather took over the Southwark Hotel on Port Road in 1902. The Brien Family has proudly held the license at the Alberton Hotel since September 1940. It was Peter (Senior) and his wife Kathleen who initially took charge, and now their son Peter (Junior) along with his children, Matthew and Rebecca, continue the family legacy with care and dedication.
