West Leederville School of Early Learning
About the Business
Welcome to the West Leederville School of Early Learning! Established in 2011, our institution is proud to offer the largest indoor spaces among all child care centers in the area. Located on Railway Parade, our center sits on the old Nestle site, providing a rich history and a unique environment for children to thrive.
At West Leederville School of Early Learning, we prioritize creating spacious and beautiful environments for our children. Our innovative design incorporates covered outdoor gardens, ensuring all-weather access for the little ones. The original building's large open spaces combined with our thoughtful design result in well-designed rooms, two indoor studios, a light stage, and covered gardens.
To truly experience the exceptional environments we have created, we invite you to book a free tour of our West Leederville SOEL Center. Tours are available from 10 am to 11 am and allow you to explore our central studio spaces, supportive learning environments, wheelchair accessibility, and indoor play areas. Our center is conveniently located near public transport, with a bus stop or train station within close proximity.
When you arrive for your tour, please note that the only entrance is on the Cambridge Street side of the building, down the ramp next to Coles. We also provide secure entrance parking and a drop-off/collection point on the same side of the building, ensuring the safety and convenience of our families.
At West Leederville School of Early Learning, we offer a range of programs to cater to the different age groups. From our studios and kitchens to our dedicated areas for babies, toddlers, 3-year-old kindy, and 4-year-old kindy, we provide a nurturing and stimulating environment for your child's early years.
We understand the financial aspect of childcare, which is why we are an approved provider for the Child Care Subsidy. Additionally, we offer convenient enrollment management and communication through Storypark, ensuring you stay connected with your child's progress.

"We pulled our son out of this centre as it was a terrible experience, there were multiple occasions that we picked our son up and his nappy hadn’t been changed all day as the feces had dried and stuck to his skin. He also was dehydrated many times when we picked him up the centre continually lost his clothes and toys and would pack his bag with other children’s clothes and toys to take home the centre was extremely under staffed and unorganised, the floor staff were doing the best they could, the problem appeared to be higher up management enrolling as many kids as possible for profits without sufficient staff or resources during his 4 months at the centre he caught COVID, hand foot and mouth, the flu and conjunctivitis, I would highly recommend to not enrol your children into this childcare centre, they are all about profits and enrolling as many children as possible and not the Welfare and what’s best for the children. We found another smaller centre which we are extremely happy with who generally care for the children complete regular nappy changes and have a great ratio of staff per children."
"We changed to a smaller centre within the first week. Every time I went there were multiple children crying or distressed, largely being ignored by the educators. In the baby rooms they focus on the curriculum but don’t appear to cope or care very well for the fussy babies. I walked past one the pre-kindy rooms to see a very distressed little girl crying and seeking the attention of an educator. The educator didn’t notice me observing and gave the little girl no reassurance or kindness. Instead she crossly told the girl to go and wipe her own nose. Dropping off my own baby I can hear babies crying in the sleep room (not being attended to) and multiple babies crawling around looking for their mums. Honestly, you walk out feeling absolutely wrong and rotten. Many of the educators seem lovely when they are doing group activities but many have no warmth for the children who appear distressed or upset. In our experience It seems to be an impersonal production line with little warmth or love. I’m sure the the educators are lovely people but I just feel that the children could use a little more love. They spend a lot of time at daycare and I certainly wouldn’t feel confident in them finding secure attachments in the caregivers"
"The best childcare facility I have known . My daughter just glowed in that environment and everyone was so lovely to deal with. Would definitely recommend."
"Have had an amazing experience at SOEL West Leederville since we've enrolled our little one 2 years ago. The management team, educators and staff are so wonderful and approachable, and the facility is beautiful. Like so many other parents we know at SOEL WL, we are happy to travel the distance, even though we don't live close by, to put our child(ren) there because it's worth it!"
"Our daughter has been attending SOEL in WL since 2019. Apart from the fact that she really loves it, I'd like to highlight a few advantages for new coming parents looking for a reliable child care centre near CBD. - a lot of different designated areas for creative play and sort of 'Montessori' areas - my active daughter is never bored and learns new things every day - fresh & delicious meals every day - really big parking zone in front of child care. easy access from public transport - ability to quickly add casual days (we added Fridays many times when I had urgent commitments) - long working hours Something that would be nice to have which SOEL do not currently offer: - freezing attendance (so that parents do not pay attendance fees for 1 month while away with their child) in case of long absence. Know that some centres offer this which is extremely valuable for families who need to travel once a year for a fixed period"
