"Has been my regular for 15 years. Dr Fiona is the best doctor, she goes above and beyond, makes you feel comfortable and knows her stuff. Grateful I found this place all those years ago."
"I am critical of how well a medical centre treats their patients from the first point of contact through to their treatment program and post care progress. It is easily apparent that Dr Rod Parker and the rest of the team at Hillarys Medical Center strongly value and uphold the principles of providing a high level of patient care. The administrative staff (reception) are courteous, polite, attentive, patient and knowledgeable. The nurses are attentive, thorough and very considerate of any discomfort you may be experiencing. The waiting area is bright, comfortable and calming. There appears to be a constant stream of patients attending at any time. Dr Rod Parker is an extremely talented, very knowledgeable and confident doctor. He is gently spoken, extremely caring, thorough and probing during his examination and does not rush you. He will unhesitatingly go the extra distance to ensure his patient’s comfort and well being. You comfortably feel that you have his full attention. By way of recent example, Dr Parker is treating me for an elusive ailment and had me undertake several tests, none of which provided a definite conclusion of what may be triggering my condition. That troubled Dr Parker such that he telephoned me the morning following my last consultation to suggest and discuss a further test that might shed some light on the cause. Such is the level of care and concern from Dr Parker that he would continue to be thoughtful of my case even after my visit. I unhesitatingly recommend Dr Parker to anyone who may need medical care or may even be seeking an alternative assessment and treatment of their existing medical condition. Don’t hesitate pondering whether you should entrust your medical care to Dr Rod Parker at Hillarys Medical Centre. Just pick up the phone and make a booking. Your life and wellbeing can only improve thereafter."
"Every time I come to this place. I am made to feel disappointed and unsatisfied with the service. Even for a private health place they charge way to much for poor service. Today I went in for my final time. Wasn't allowed to sit inside. Had to sit outside in the cold for 20mins. Being brought inside then seen after a 1hr 1/2 in a spare isolated room. Barely checked and was told Panadol with sort me out. Went for a second opinion somewhere else. I have a chest infection and tonsillitis and are antibiotics. This is not the first time Hillary medical centre has let me down."
"A Patient/Customer of over 15 years. I was seeking guidance as to why they will not allow Telehealth Appointments with Doctors within the official Government guidelines. Both the RACGP and AMA support the interpretation of the Dept of Health's Telehealth Appointment guidelines as "To be eligible for GP telehealth services patients must have had a face-to-face consultation with their GP or another GP in the same practice, in the 12 months before the telehealth service". Despite satisfying both of the eligibility criteria at the practice in questions, I was not permitted a Telehealth appointment with my usual doctor as I had not seen him within 6 months (I saw him 11 months ago and other doctors within the practice within 6 months ago). Despite multiple phonecalls, emails and txts (they sometimes communicate via txt) I have not received a response to my genuine enquiry. To me, this seems arrogant. I understand it is accepted practice not to communicate via email on matters regarding patient health for privacy reasons - however given this matter is not medical in nature, it cannot be ignored by adherence to patient-confidentiality derived caution. I'm both disappointed on a personal and customer level by the behaviour of the practice on this very simple topic. Medical Care has been adequate. I am unsure if the fault lies with Management, Staff or the GP in question. Every other kind of business has a duty to communicate clearly and respectfully with customers - in line with Gov guidelines. Given there is a shortage of GPs and an oversupply of patients, it's obvious medical practices do not have to strive for customer-relations excellence in order to keep the lights on. I'm only writing this herein the hope it may instigate positive change and perhaps reflection."
"2nd to none Dr Thong and staff of Drs are great health professionals, reception staff need education on better manners at times they can be rude and abrupt putting people off, which can destroy a good business Sad to read other comments on here regarding waiting, so what happens is some people book a standard appointment then over run their appointment with further consultation by the GP because its not just a simple cough or sore toe but something more complex or hidden, so to you best advise is to ring before you leave and get a time update its really that simple and just remember when you there next make sure you don't go outside your set 15 minutes or you will hold someone else up. Bet you don't complain if you have to wait for your hair nails or massage appointment?"
