Zenshin Karate was founded in January 1998 by Shidoshi Craig Decke (currently a 5th Dan black belt) and his wife Desma Decke (currently a 3rd Dan black belt). Since its inception, our club has grown from strength to strength, becoming a highly successful institution that continues to expand. We offer numerous classes at various locations throughout the week. Additionally, we are proud to offer classes and grading programs tailored to specific age groups, including our "Little Dragons" program for ages 4-8, "Young Samurai's" program for ages 9-13, and a "Senior's" program for ages 14 and above.

Karate, originating from the Okinawan islands of Japan, is a form of self-defense. While its true origins may have roots in China or India, karate has evolved into a Japanese martial art known as "empty hand." Zenshin, which means "progress" or "advance" in Japanese, perfectly encapsulates our philosophy. We blend two traditional karate styles, Shotokan and Goju-Ryu, incorporating the best elements from both, along with modern-day street defense techniques.

Zenshin Karate is proudly sanctioned by the WUMA (World United Martial Arts) Federation. As a member, you have the opportunity to train at any of our classes worldwide, and any grades you achieve are recognized internationally.
