Our weapons training includes a dedicated grading system to track progress.

Within our exciting karate classes, individuals of all ages and abilities can exercise their minds in ways they never have before. In addition to teaching a traditional martial art, we incorporate real-life self-defense techniques, including specific techniques tailored for women. Zenshin Karate & Martial Arts was established in January 1998 by Shidoshi Craig Decke (currently a 5th Dan black belt) and his wife Desma Decke (currently a 3rd Dan black belt). Since its inception, our club has experienced tremendous growth and success. We now offer classes not only in the northern suburbs of Perth but also in multiple locations in the UK. We are proud to be one of the few clubs in Perth that offer classes and grading programs designed specifically for different age levels, including "Little Dragon's" for ages 4-8, "Young Samurai's" for ages 9-13, and a "Senior's" program for those aged 14 and above.

Karate, as a form of self-defense, originated from the Okinawan islands of Japan but may have its roots in China or India, where martial arts have existed for thousands of years. The term "karate" translates to "empty hand" in Japanese, while "Zenshin" means to "progress," "advance," or "move forward." Our unique style combines elements from two traditional styles, Shotokan and Goju-Ryu, blending the best of both with modern-day street defense techniques.

Zenshin Karate is sanctioned by the WUMA (World United Martial Arts) Federation, allowing our members to train at any of our classes worldwide and have their grades recognized internationally.

We would like to extend our congratulations to our exceptional students, including Olivia who has achieved her junior black belt. We are proud to have helped 90 adults attain their black belts, not to mention the hundreds of junior black belts we have nurtured over the years. Every student at Zenshin Karate is seen and noticed for their skills and efforts, and we consider them all stars.
