"Really long, long delays trying to get through to speak to somebody. Phone person did not know their product types already issued to another customer. He denied that I could get similar insurance from SGIO/NRMA. Information given to seek elsewhere was given out faster that a machine gun operation. Incomprehensible. Put off totally by limited contact with this company. Below poor rating. RECOMMEND YOU go somewhere else."

"We were forced to deal with them when someone reversed their car into out car. Not only were we kept in the dark about the whole process, but the person who reversed into us openly told us that they were having a horrible time dealing with (their insurer) SGIO about their claim. All overseas call centres who can barely speak English. When it was time to collect a hire car, we had to go to three different hire car providers because SGIO didnt give us clear instructions where to go nor a claim/reference number to follow up with. It was a mess."

"Apparently doing system updates so I can't update my certificate of currency to refinance. Why aren't they done at midnight or the early hours like banks do? Common sense really."

"Bloody pathetic! Can't get thru to them at all to make a claim. Tried phoning, emailing, webchat and even downloaded the useless mobile APP. Talk about stalling their customers. Been with this company for nealy 2 decades and nothing was ever smooth when making a claim apart from them taking my money ever year!!!"

"Although I switched insurance funds just recently and am no longer an SGIO customer, my experience with SGIO was positive. Claims were always prompt and usually accepted without an issue - inspection or repair done promptly every time."
