About the Business
Welcome to Schnithouse Rundle St, located at 260 Rundle Street in Adelaide, Australia. As an establishment, food, point of interest, and restaurant, we pride ourselves on offering a unique dining experience that combines tradition, quality, and variety.
At Schnithouse, we believe in preserving the art of schnitzel-making using our traditional family method. Our meat is tenderised to perfection before being either tender grilled or coated in our classic or gluten-free crumbs. We use only 100% real meat, and all our schnitzels are crumbed and made fresh to order.
As an award-winning restaurant and Beer House concept, we provide a relaxed and casual dining atmosphere with full bar facilities. Our claim to fame is our extensive range of schnitzels, which includes chicken, beef, pork, fish, and vegetarian options. Each schnitzel is freshly crumbed using our 90-year-old family recipe and cooked to order with a delicious range of unique toppings. If crumbs aren't your thing, we also offer mouth-watering grilled fillets.
In addition to our schnitzels, we serve a variety of gourmet salads made with fresh, locally sourced ingredients. We also cater to gluten-free diets with our gluten-free crumbs. Our menu is carefully crafted to ensure the finest quality and freshness, with ingredients sourced from local suppliers and made fresh daily.
For those seeking something beyond schnitzels, we offer a selection of burgers, wraps, pizzas, and other delicious extras. And don't forget to indulge in our World First Dessert Schnitty, a true treat for your taste buds.
To complement your meal, we have an extensive beverage list featuring craft, local, and imported beers. Our famous Hofbrau Beer, imported directly from Munich, Germany, is a must-try. You can enjoy your food and drinks in our outdoor dining area, which offers a view of the vibrant Rundle Street.
By ordering directly from us, you are not only treating yourself to a delicious meal but also supporting local businesses. We are committed to hiring locals and using as many local producers as possible, ensuring that your dining experience contributes to the growth of our community.
Come and experience for yourself what a real schnitzel should taste like at Schnithouse Rundle St. We guarantee a memorable dining experience that combines tradition, quality, and variety.

Reviews
"We have a dinner gathering on Sunday night. I like the ordering system where everyone can order and pay using their own phones. The food was really delicious, and the prices are reasonable. The only downside is that there was a big time gap between each person's meal being served. Nonetheless, but I still recommend it!"
"This is a vaguely German styled restaurant. Food was good (I had the seafood basket 4/5) and my mate had the Pulled Pork burger 4/5. There are only three German beers on tap. There is an icecream bar, pastry display, pizza oven and coffee machine (which gives me a clue as to what this place used to be). The music playing suits a young non German clientel. The place really lacks atmosphere."
"This was a great find. I saw it while walking around the city two days ago and decided to have lunch there today. I had the Reef Schnitzel. I can honestly say it was one of the most enjoyable meals I have had in years. Full of flavour and a very generous portion. The chips were served in a small metal basket and cooked to perfection. If I was staying longer in Adelaide I would definitely go back tomorrow. Their coffee was good too."
"We loved the food. The prices are quite decent and the portions very big. I ordered chicken penne pesto and I struggled to finish it. So much! The staff was very friendly and helpful."
"Delicious food with high quality. We've had "Chicken schnitzel" & "Steak" which both were filling, tasty and worth the money. It must be noted that the staff were more than friendly, although it was crowded and they tried to be nice and helpful."
