"This school has a very toxic environment which stems from the the Administration Team and I would strongly encourage you to enrol your child at another school. Admin are also known to gaslight parents when they try to raise and address issues. There are also a lot of anti social behavioural concerns with some students out in the community. One issue of concern is the vandalism of the school toilet facilities and vaping issue. All school toilet facilities but two are locked by the school due to the vaping issue (which is a common issue amongst most schools unfortunately, however until recently the school would not admit to). These toilet blocks are not supervised by teaching staff at break times, therefore students congregate into the unlocked toilet blocks to vape, vandalise or do whatever else and therefore students who are actually needing to use the toilet facilities are unable to do so. Students are also denied access to the toilets during class times by class teachers therefore students do not have access to the toilets for 6 or more hours a day. Poor overall preparation with families entering the final years with absolutely no career expos, university tours etc. Despite the school being in it's 6th year (opened in 2018) it offers limited subjects/pathways for Senior School/Year 11 and 12 (senior handbook available online through school website). If your child wishes to pursue further study ie Uni or is an academic student then ASC would not be the school of choice. Overall communication at the best of times are poor. Parents rarely given more than a weeks notice for important events and very rarely are these events placed online on the school term calendars."
"This school goes against the “Dress code rules” It says “Students can NOT be excluded from class due to uniform violations” But yet, If you dont have the correct uniform they keep you in the front office for a whole day, Children have missed out on marks, because the day they didnt have the correct uniform they had a test, exam.. Then they pull students out of class asking why they didnt show up for their test. Especially Ms.Lovelock, She keeps people in the office just for shorts, pants. Students have consistently reminded her of the dress codes rules and, yet she ignores them. Some can’t afford the school clothes, they wear pants, pants that are the same colour and not branded but yet they keep the students in the office, no school work they can work on, no toilet breaks. They expect students to come to school wearing shorts/skirts on a 10° day. Send your children anywhere but here."
"Way to focused on attendance and uniform. Your late by 2 minutes one time? Detention. Wrong colour socks and no uniform pass? Detention. Theu should be more focused on education and not stupid stuff like attendance and uniform. Most teachers couldn’t care less about their students and their wellbeing. They only care if their getting paid. Make this place better, I have not one good thing to say about this horrible school."
"Amazing school with beautiful lawn and garden. They created very good environment where student can more focus"
"For some reason this school is more focused on attendance instead of quality teaching. School results - Underperforming ?? Find out. If you’re late you get after school detentions, loss of good standing and possible restriction to fun school activities if the lateness continues. It doesn’t matter if you are giving your best efforts to your learning. If there is an attendance problem showing up to classes survey the kids and you’ll find out the real reason why they are not showing up. Constant blame on the kids but never the school taking accountability. This was a good school 3yrs ago now, it’s not now. Not to mention the bullying."
