We are delighted to congratulate our talented students, Nicholas Di Falco, James Neal, and Jordan Watson, who represented Australia and our college at the RoboCup International Championships in Bordeaux, France. Despite being newcomers on the global stage, our team showcased their impressive skills by securing 14th place out of 30 teams and winning the written and presentation sections of the competition. This achievement is particularly remarkable considering the experience of the other teams who had been refining their robots for years.

Throughout the competition, our team displayed unwavering determination, overcoming challenges such as the replacement of components and showcasing their relentless commitment to enhancing their robot's performance. The experience was not only enjoyable but also enriching, providing our students with invaluable insights and knowledge that will undoubtedly benefit them in the future.

We would like to extend a special thank you to Mr. John O'Shea, our dedicated Engineering Teacher, Mrs. Susan Carrick, Deputy Principal - Staff Growth and Pedagogy, and the parents and caregivers of our team members for making this opportunity possible.

In addition to our academic achievements, Sacred Heart College also fosters a strong sense of community. Join us for the 2023 Quiz Night, organized by the Sacred Heart College P&F. It promises to be a fantastic evening of fun and connection, all while raising funds for college initiatives supported by the P&F.

Sports play a vital role in our college, and we are proud of our Hockey and AFL teams' recent successes. Our Hockey team, coached by Mrs. Daley, showcased their skills and determination, winning the Grand Final against John XXIII College in a thrilling match. Meanwhile, our boys' team, coached by Mr. Skerratt and Mr. Clement, emerged as Champions at the ACC's North Metro Eagles' Cup Lightning Carnival, securing their place in the Eagles School Boys' Cup Grand Final.
