"Even though this is my local Universal store, customer service is the worst!! It’s such a shame because it stocks so many great brands. Not to mention the music is so loud and makes you feel so uncomfortable. I recently when there to return a bunch of things I bought during Black Friday sales online. The return policy allowed refunds on sale times (Black Friday, not clearance) and the girl refused to refund me because they were discounted.. I was speechless and quite annoyed because I hav returned things in the past without issues and the store policy indicates otherwise. I then called the karrinyup store and the girl confirmed that I could return the items regardless but also contacted her manager to confirm, and again confirmed I could refund. She advised me to go to karrinyup store so she could process the refund. I went to karrinyup and got my refund without any issues. It’s not just this single incident, there’s been more at this store. I cannot explain how much I avoid this particular store because of it’s such poor customer service."

"Today I went into your store to return a white dress. Before returning I did the proper research on your return policy just to make sure i was within the return policy guidelines. I had the swing tag and receipt provided as proof of purchase. The first girl I went up to inspected the dress inside and out and checked the tag was still on the dress (which it was) she then said she needed to speak to her manager. The manager came up and looked at the dress as well, she did this for about a minute before asking me how many times I've worn the dress and i said "Once at the joondalup store" she then said she was going to return it but before doing so inspected the item again saying it couldn't be returned because a seem had a tiny piece of stitching coming out and said it was "pulled open" and was also asked how many times i've worn it again. I then said it wasn't me who did that before being cut off saying they would return it AGAIN. I understand that as a retail store you need to check items of clothing before you can do a refund. Its just unfortunate that they had to be rude and to make me feel intimidated by making me doubt myself about an item i had bought."

"Can’t fault the products they sell, however the customer service team has no lateral thinking. Went in to buy some shades and when I finally chose them was told they only had the dirty scratched demo model for full price. When asked if they could knock a bit off the price the answer was just a flat out ‘No’. No, ‘I’ll check with the manager’ no justification just poor customer service. Went straight across the mall to Osmosis where I purchased some great new shades. Don’t go to Universal Store at Whitfords if you want service or a good experience"

"Just browsing for a a hat and chose one to try on... Then like a MIND READER an friendly staff member walked up to me and asked if I was looking for a mirror and pointed me in the right direction. Great atmosphere, fair prices and overall a nice shopping experience. Thanks guys"

"I love Univesal Store and their clothing, but the staff have no manners! I have been inside the store more than 10 times and not once has someone said hello, or even acknowledged me. When I walk around no one ever approaches me and asks if I need a hand. Today I spent $200 in the store, and when I went to pay the girl serving me didn’t even say hello! She scanned my item, told me the total, and that was it. I’m very disappointmented and angry! If customers are spending so much money in your store, show them some consideration. Your staff need some respect. Is that asking too much?"
