About the Business
Welcome to EDOSEI, a passionate restaurant located in the heart of Perth, Australia. As an establishment dedicated to the fresh nature and unique flavors of Japanese cuisine, we strive to provide our customers with an authentic dining experience like no other.
At EDOSEI, we believe in the perfect blend of tradition and contemporary culinary techniques. Our highly-acclaimed and skillful chefs expertly prepare a wide array of authentic Japanese dishes that will tantalize your taste buds. We take pride in serving only the freshest seafood, which is regularly flown in from the Melbourne fish markets. This ensures that our sashimi and sushi are of the highest quality and simply melt in your mouth.
Our menu showcases the diversity of Japanese cuisine, offering a range of delectable options. Begin your culinary journey with enticing entrées such as kara-ge chicken and agedashi tofu. For mains, indulge in our spicy tan tan men ramen or savor the flavors of our miso-marinated fish. However, our true culinary expertise shines through our signature dish: Kawara Soba. This dish, originating from our hometown of Shimonoseki in the Yamaguchi Prefecture, features green tea buckwheat noodles grilled to perfection and topped with succulent strips of Wagyu beef and omelette, beautifully presented on a quintessential Japanese ceramic plate.
To complement our decadent food, we offer an extensive drinks list curated for the pleasure of our guests. Whether you prefer wine, sake, or shochu, we have something to satisfy every palate.
At EDOSEI, we not only focus on the culinary experience but also on providing a sophisticated and ambient setting for our guests. Our dining room, designed by the award-winning architect Michael Roxy, enhances the intimate atmosphere of EDOSEI Restaurant. Whether you join us for lunch or dinner, we guarantee a memorable meal that will transport you to the heart of Japan.

"We were just walked passed the shop and decided to went in, I've ordered 5 meals. Totally enjoying them... The taste were simply wonderful. Would love to try other dishes. The restaurant is a bit small if you have a huge crowd. The staffs were friendly and very welcoming. I think prices are reasonable."
"Was recommended to try their lunch set as a more budget Japanese meal compared to their dinner menu pricing. Booking was recommended so we did, and was placed in a quiet corner for 2. The ambient is classy with a nice decor, and we found the service attentive enough for order, even though it was evident they were a little short staffed during peak period. It was only a short wait for our lunch set, and the taste is delicious, with the portion size leaving us waiting more. As with other reviews, it could get quite echoey inside when it got busy, which make conversation a little more strained. Overall a nice dining experience on a slightly pricey end"
"Amazing food. The best chicken karaage I have ever had. Our mains - terriyaki chicken and roast duck - were equally spectacular. So much food envy of other tables as everything looked fantastic."
"Came here for my birthday dinner, have been looking at this place for years on the internet. I was expecting it to be fully booked but could book that night. The place was quaint and the food was if good quality and big portions. Service was also good. Had a great meal."
"Simply Wonderful. Just having a simple lunch with the family. I've ordered 3 simple complete meals. Totally enjoying them... The taste were simply wonderful. A return is a must, to try other dishes. The restaurant is a bit small if you have a huge crowd. The staffs were friendly and very welcoming. I think prices are reasonable. I am just hoping that free teas were available. Many thanks."
