Reviews of Indian Brothers Taringa
"We visited as a group of 7. We sat in the veranda for the amazing views . We were warned the service might be slow but actually found it quite fast . We found the food delicious and serving sizes plenty . We found prices to be on par with similar restaurants. Would recommend"
"This indian hotel stands out in so many things... The atmosphere is welcoming and the lighting is well. The staffs are well behaved and always enquired about feedbacks. The seatings are well and good enough. Enough seating outside with picturesque... The food spice was very good and overall enjoyed."
"Tick all the boxes so must visit restaurant. Nice ambience, beautiful transition view from evening to night, excellent service, very spacious, ample parking and very delicious food. We visited six times and taste is consistently yummy. Beautiful place to have big party or get together. Staff is very cordial and team manager Anil will look after you. Only downfall is first Indian restaurant where Menu prices are excluding GST and no mentioned of it for the same which makes it quite expensive."
"Great location, decent ambiance. The food is very bland and doesn’t really please the taste buds of someone from India, May be it’s customized to local tastes. The food ok over all, nothing to go back for. Service was slow and inefficient, the staff definitely can brush up a lot on the hospitality and be more warm to customers."
"Service & Ambience Besides us, there were just a handful of other diners, and it’s not hard to see why. The food was a mixed bag with inconsistent quality. Service was slow, inefficient and unfriendly and the ambience was soulless. The place is large, with timber floors and elegant chandeliers, giving it the appearance of a dance hall, which added to the feeling of emptiness. Despite the number of staff outnumbering guests, we struggled to attract the attention of a wait person to take our order. Staff seem generally unmotivated and disinterested. Eventually orders were taken, but we waited 25 minutes for the food to arrive. I noticed one staff member racing around with what was supposed to be our entrée, the veg samosas, unable to locate us, even though there were only about two or three other occupied tables. After running around like a headless chicken for a few minutes, she disappeared back into the kitchen without delivering our samosas. Eventually she came back, by which time we had already received our two main meals from other wait staff, brought out separately. So that was the order that we received the food: First one meal, then another, then the entrée, and they completely forgot about the rice. Food The tandoori chicken was a generous portion but it was dry and tasteless. The other dishes were better. The samosas were tasty, with a soft potato filling and enclosed in a crispy coating. The lamb korma was melt-in-your-mouth tender and drenched in a creamy cashew nut sauce. Would have been perfect with the rice, but that never arrived. The cheesy naan though was at least a decent accompaniment to the meat. Toilet Toilets are clearly marked and accessible directly from the restaurant although I’m assuming that they’re shared with other tenants and users of the building, because there’s also access from the corridor. They are clean and well provisioned with adequate male and female cubicles. The 1980s style hand dryer could do with an upgrade, or hand towels would be even better. Cost We paid 69 (including a fee of 1.1 pesos for using a credit card) for a beer, a serve of samosas, a serve of cheese naan and two main meals. But given the disappointing experience with the food, service and ambience, that was not good value for money . Parking There is a car park that serves the little centre where this restaurant is located although there are limited spaces and we struggled to find one. Directions to the restaurant are confusing with only a sign pointing to a back entrance which we were unable to find anyway. Eventually a passer-by alerted us to a lift inside the centre that took us to the restaurant. Summary Service was slow and inefficient and the food was a mixed bag with some dishes excelling, whilst the chicken was almost inedible. Being empty on a Saturday night is not a good sign."
