Australian Lung Cancer Conference
11 Finchley Street, Milton, Queensland, Australia
About Australian Lung Cancer Conference
Welcome to the Australian Lung Cancer Conference, an esteemed institution dedicated to advancing thoracic oncology and improving the lives of lung cancer and mesothelioma patients. Located in Milton, Finchley Street, our establishment serves as a vital point of interest for healthcare professionals and individuals seeking to enhance their knowledge and contribute to the field of lung cancer care.
Organized by the Lung Foundation Australia, the 9th Australian Lung Cancer Conference will take place on the stunning Gold Coast in Queensland from 15-17 February 2023. As the largest multi-disciplinary thoracic oncology conference in Australia, we are thrilled to bring together healthcare professionals from various specialties to collaborate and build upon the successes of the previous ALCC events.
Despite the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, our shared commitment to optimizing lung cancer and mesothelioma care has remained steadfast. We strive for equity of services, expedite the development of new medicines and treatments, and increase research investments both nationally and internationally. Through collaboration and a renewed sense of purpose, the lung cancer community has made remarkable progress in the past three years, and the conference provides a platform to share these achievements and learnings.
There has never been a more critical time to unite and envision a bold future for lung cancer care. With the recent recommendation by the Medical Services Advisory Committee to implement a National Lung Cancer Screening program, the emergence of personalized or precision medicine, increased investment in Specialist Lung Cancer Nursing, and the recognition of the need to support vulnerable communities and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples, the ALCC 2023 offers an environment to network, gain valuable insights on planned treatments and therapies, and advocate for further reform.
Our scientific program boasts an exciting lineup of international and national speakers representing a diverse range of specialties, healthcare professionals, and patient advocates. To reflect the multi-disciplinary and team care approach in lung cancer and mesothelioma, we have included distinct and complementary streams in our conference agenda.
ALCC 2023 presents a unique opportunity for sponsors to network with esteemed professionals such as Oncologists, Respiratory Physicians, Radiologists, Specialist Lung Cancer Nurses or Clinical Nurse Consultants, General Practitioners, Scientists, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Care Workers, and Palliative Care Specialists.
We extend a warm invitation to be a part of this gathering of 500 passionate lung cancer healthcare professionals on the Gold Coast in February 2023. Join us as we collaborate, learn, and push forward together to shape the future of lung cancer care.
