"Michael is everything a Dr & Surgeon should be. I had gastric sleeve done in April 2018 & lost a considerable amount of weight. Over the course of 4 years, I did regain 20kg but my issue for returning to see him was due to reflux. Initially I was embarrassed to see him again because of the weight gain so I had a consultation with another surgeon who made me feel uncomfortable & was very abrupt & not at all empathetic to my situation. I decided to bite the bullet & contact Michael again. His staff are wonderful & made the appointment for me & Michael understood my issues & delved into my weight regain with no prejudice. I've just had gastric bypass done & in true form, Michael looked after me very well. I highly recommend him to anyone & if I could give 10 stars, I would."

"Dr Hatzifotis has worked tirelessly with me for the past 12 months with persistent abdominal pain with no clear diagnosis (until recently and only because the doctor continued to exhaust all available testing avenues to find the cause of my symptoms). Over 6 different emergency admissions and I was never made to feel as though the symptoms I was experiencing weren't 'real' or that I was being a hypochondriac, which unfortunately happened to me a lot during this time period with some other medical professionals. Dr Hatzifotis always treated me with respect and care so when I needed to have surgery, I felt almost no anxiety at all because of my experience with him. I have also always had such a pleasant experience when dealing with the administration staff in his office in relation to follow up appointments and organising my surgery. "I have been seeing Dr Hatzifotis for over a year now. Due to COVID my initial surgery was postponed but this ended up being a blessing as it gave me time to work with the exercise physiologists, Psychologists, Dieticians, and make sure my head was in the right space - which it was by the time I had surgery. I had my surgery in February 2021. He came highly recommended by my Endocrinologist. Dr Hatzifotis was very professional, friendly, and polite and I knew I was in good hands. He has a reputation for being a perfectionist, which is exactly what you want in a surgeon. Everyone on his staff are wonderful and very patient with my questions. I was pretty anxious over the whole thing but I am seeing results and I am happy with my progress. My Endocrinologist said I would be in excellent hands, and she was not wrong."
