About The Bremer Community Child Care Centre
Welcome to The Bremer Community Child Care Centre, a not-for-profit establishment located in Bundamba, Mary Street, Australia. We are proud to have been serving the community since July 14, 1997. Our center is licensed to operate for 50 weeks per year, closing only for two weeks over the Christmas/New Year period.
At The Bremer Community Child Care Centre, we believe in acknowledging and respecting the traditional custodians of the land on which we operate, the Jagera, Yuggara, and Ugarapul people, along with their elders, both past and present.
Our center caters to children between the ages of 6 weeks and 5 years old. We are conveniently located in Mary Street, Bundamba, directly opposite the TAFE, and are easily accessible by train and bus. Our playgrounds are surrounded by open ovals and trees, providing a safe and secure environment for children to play and explore.
The philosophy of The Bremer Community Child Care Centre is rooted in the value of play and the importance of early childhood. Guided by the Early Years Learning Framework and the Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guidelines, our approach focuses on creating an environment where children can experience a sense of belonging, being, and becoming.
We strive to provide quality personalized care that respects each child's needs and backgrounds, allowing them to develop their own interests and sense of identity. Our aim is to create a safe and nurturing environment that encourages family and community involvement. We foster children's development by building their knowledge, skills, self-concept, independence, and social abilities.
At The Bremer Community Child Care Centre, we embrace diversity and respect the differences among children and their families. We encourage all families to be actively involved in our service, as we believe that families are the first and most influential teachers in a child's life.
We also understand the importance of the natural environment in children's learning and development. We promote and implement environmentally sustainable practices to instill a sense of responsibility for the world around us.
Above all, we want every child's time at our center to be fun, fostering growth, learning, and caring relationships with our educators and other children.
Our curriculum is guided by the Early Years Learning Framework, which supports early childhood educators in delivering quality learning opportunities for young children. It emphasizes play-based learning, as well as communication and language development, early literacy and numeracy, and social and emotional growth.
The Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guideline is a supporting document for the Early Learning Years Framework, further enhancing our approach. It recognizes that learning happens through play and emphasizes the importance of spontaneous and planned experiences and relationships.
Our educators are all qualified for their positions, ensuring a high level of care and continuity for the children. We provide regular programming time for our lead educators and kindergarten teacher to plan and document learning experiences. Our staff engages in ongoing training and critical reflection to maintain and enhance the quality of care we provide.
We invite you to join The Bremer Community Child Care Centre and become part of our inclusive and nurturing community.
