"Had apple cucumbers severely eaten by pests. Very early fruit and leaves taken all in one night. I use Searles Flourish, flowers and foliage. My plants have regenerated flowers and new leaves. I love the product around my garden every where."

"I contacted Searles due to an infestation of gnats in my potting mix. As a customer of Searles for over 20 years I was exceptionally disappointed. They took no responsibility whatsoever and would not even give a refund for their faulty product. I received an email from their customer service and Warren the Manager stating: "These particular pests are a right pain to gardeners, especially if you are into indoor plants. As Jillian has noted, gnats love organic matter so growing media of all types is attractive to them. This time of year they are quite active and as a naturally occurring pest, can occur anywhere. We can’t control their movement. If they have decided to make a home in pots with Searles potting mix in them, or stored bags, that is not something we can control." Terrible customer service with no responsibility taken for providing a very inferior product. I have seen other reviews about Searles soil with gnats, so clearly a common issue. Do not recommend buying their products at all!"

"Living on a small property I buy potting soil and fertiliser for my pot plants. There are often gnats in the potting soil and it is challenging getting rid of them, but the last batch of potting soil from Searles was the worst. What made it even worse was the 5 in 1 fertiliser I added. We have been away for four days and there was a plague of gnats in the house when we returned home. We had to move all the plant outside and are still fighting against the gnats. In the meanwhile I bought two more bags of 5 in 1 and the photo is evidence what is looks like. Done with this product!"
