HIBISCUS WORLD
About the Business
Welcome to Hibiscus World, your ultimate destination for all things hibiscus in Caboolture, Australia. Nestled in the picturesque Cockatoo Court, our establishment is not just a florist or a store, but a true point of interest for hibiscus enthusiasts and nature lovers alike.
At Hibiscus World, we celebrate the beauty and versatility of the hibiscus flower, also known as the queen of the flowers and the tropics. These stunning blooms can transform any garden into a tropical paradise, thriving in both salt-tolerant coastal areas and poolside plantings. Whether you have full sun or part shade, hibiscus will feel right at home in your garden.
Did you know that hibiscus has been cultivated for thousands of years? In the past, hibiscus plants were used for various purposes, including rope manufacturing, medicinal remedies, tonics, and even food dyes. Today, hibiscus has gained popularity as a delightful beverage, with options like hibiscus punch and hibiscus tea, and it is also used to make delicious jams like Rosella jam.
One of the most remarkable aspects of hibiscus is the wide range of bright colors and patterns they display. From dinner plate-sized singles to delicate miniatures with double petals, there is a hibiscus variety to suit every taste. These beautiful flowers can be found all over the world, especially in warmer frost-free zones. However, in areas that experience freezing temperatures during winter, hibiscus lovers have become experts in the art of "pot shuffling," carefully moving their potted plants to protected areas until the cold subsides.
In Europe, many hibiscus plants are grown in small pots and placed on indoor window sills, providing a touch of tropical color during the cold winter months. The hibiscus root system is non-invasive, making it safe to plant them near walls, driveways, foundations, and underground pipes without risking any damage. Their ideal temperature range is between 21°C and 27°C, but they can tolerate temperatures above freezing and even as high as 45°C. However, extreme temperatures can be stressful for the plant, causing flowers to burn or drop off.
Just like us and our beloved pets, hibiscus flowers have their own comfort zone. So, whether you are a seasoned hibiscus enthusiast or just starting your journey into the world of tropical blooms, Hibiscus World is here to provide you with all the information, products, and inspiration you need to create your own hibiscus paradise.

Reviews
"Lots of beautiful plants to choose from, a wonderful couple running the business making it easy for shoppers to choose their favourite coloured flowers. I found them to be informative and friendly and the plants to be fairly priced and healthy Even though my partner and I arrived without an appointment they were happy to see us and do business. The only drawback is it was a little bit difficult to locate their business as there is no sign out the front. Luckily the satnav had no difficulty in locating their shop."
