He was recognized as a national master and expert in acupuncture, honored with the title of Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, and served as a member of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference for three terms.

Cheng Xin Nong's contributions to the development of acupuncture and moxibustion in China are immeasurable. He played a pivotal role in the research, teaching, and international training of these ancient healing practices.
