Under these laws, children must be appropriately restrained in a suitable approved child restraint from birth up to the age of seven. The laws also address the issue of children sitting in the front seat of a vehicle.

Children up to four years of age must be restrained in the rear of the vehicle if it has two or more rows of seats. Children aged between four and seven years are not allowed to sit in the front seat unless all other seating positions are already occupied by children under seven. These regulations aim to reduce the risk of injury caused by using unsuitable restraints for a child's size (source: RTA).
