Acacia Ridge Treasure Trove
About the Business
Welcome to Acacia Ridge Treasure Trove, located at 46 Colebard Street West in Australia. As an establishment and point of interest, our store is a hidden gem operated by the Brisbane City Council. We are one of two second-hand shops run by the council, offering a wide range of items donated by Brisbane residents through our resource recovery centres.
Conveniently open every weekend from 8am to 4pm, our Treasure Trove is the perfect destination for those seeking quality second-hand goods. Whether you're looking for household furniture, homewares, collectables, books, hardware items, or sporting equipment, we have it all. By choosing to shop with us, you not only find unique treasures but also contribute to the effort of saving items from ending up in landfill.
At Acacia Ridge Treasure Trove, we believe in keeping Brisbane clean and green. By buying second-hand, you play a vital role in reducing waste and promoting sustainability. Instead of purchasing brand new items, consider giving pre-loved treasures a new lease on life. Our store is a testament to the idea that one person's trash can truly be another person's treasure.
If you have items at home that are in good, usable condition and no longer needed, we encourage you to donate them to our local Treasure Trove. You can do so through our four resource recovery centres, and there is no disposal fee for donated items as long as they are dropped off in a vehicle under 4.5 tonnes combined gross vehicle mass (CGVM). However, please note that donations are not accepted directly at our store.
To ensure the quality of donated items, please ensure they are clean and in working condition. Our resource recovery centre officers have the right to refuse items that are not considered saleable. For a comprehensive list of acceptable items for donation, please refer to our website.
It's worth mentioning that the Endeavour Foundation operates both Council Treasure Troves. This foundation is one of Australia's largest non-government organizations, dedicated to supporting and providing opportunities for people with disabilities. By shopping or donating with us, you are contributing to their important work.
We believe in the power of conscious consumption and the importance of reducing waste. To inspire your journey towards a more sustainable lifestyle, we have compiled 31 hacks to revive your home and make eco-friendly choices. Let us guide you towards a greener way of living.
Before you visit our Treasure Trove, make sure to check out the items you can take to Council's resource recovery centres, including those eligible for donation. We have also provided handy tips on how to ensure the items you donate are of high quality, ensuring that they can find a new home.
Finally, as a responsible institution, Brisbane City Council acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of this Country and pays respect to the Elders, both past and present. We honor their connection to the land and their invaluable contribution to our community.
Come and explore Acacia Ridge Treasure Trove, where you can find hidden treasures, support a worthy cause, and make a positive impact on the environment. Join us in our mission to create a cleaner, greener Brisbane.
