About Bellbird Park Family Park
Welcome to Bellbird Park Family Park, located in the beautiful City of Ipswich, Queensland, Australia. This establishment is not just any ordinary park, but a place with a rich history and a strong sense of family heritage.
Once upon a time, the land that Bellbird Park Family Park now sits on was the Tucker family's 360-acre dairy farm. The Tucker siblings, Maureen Barnett, Dave Tucker, and Jan Hall, along with their family members, Jayde Tucker and Donna Tucker, have fond memories of growing up on this farm, which they lovingly called Buchanan Vale. It was truly a special place for them, with Maureen describing it as "the best in the world."
The Tucker family owned the farm for 18 years, during which they had all sorts of animals and had countless adventures. Bike rides would often take hours as they stopped to pat animals, explored the bush, or scavenged through the dump. Twice a day, they would milk the cows, and Maureen's father would drive the cream to Goodna station, from where it would be transported by rail to the butter factory at Booval.
The farm was a hub of activity, with children constantly playing and learning various skills, especially when the Dinmore-Riverview Scouts held camps on the farm. However, due to drought and tough times, the Tuckers were eventually forced to sell Buchanan Vale.
In a heartwarming turn of events, the park was named after the Tucker family. Maureen recalls how she donated some old sketches to Cr Paul Tully, which led to a conversation about the family's history and the decision to name the park in their honor. It is a moment of pride for the family, with Maureen mentioning that her parents would be incredibly proud and possibly watching from above with big smiles.
The Tucker Family Park is not just a place of sentimental value; it also offers fantastic amenities and opportunities for the community. Currently, there are plans to connect the park to the existing Rotary Park with a $1 million linear pathway, allowing visitors to enjoy the scenic surroundings and bushland.
To celebrate the park's opening, a free community event called 'Get Fit in the Forest' will be held, featuring TV personality and fitness guru Tim Robards. Participants can sign up for a free six-week boot camp by Just-Her Fitness, enjoy a sausage sizzle, and let the kids have a blast on the jumping castle. This event takes place on March 10th from 9am to 11am.
Furthermore, a separate event will be held on March 24th from 9am to 11am to celebrate the opening of the dog-off-leash area. This event will include a free dog wash and dog agility classes, ensuring that the furry members of the family are not left out of the fun.
Brentwood Forest, the property group behind the park, is dedicated to helping residents make the most of the outdoor gym facilities. They have launched a six-week boot camp and have even developed a unique app specifically for their outdoor gym, which allows users to plan workouts and invite others to join them.
If you're interested in hosting a birthday party for your son at Tucker Family Park, we have a range of facilities and amenities available. Please contact us for more information and we'll be happy to assist you in making your son's birthday a memorable one.

Reviews of Bellbird Park Family Park
"Yes, many people have said this park is great But here is an updated view. There is LOTS and I mean LOTS of innapropriate graffiti. Eslceially, considering the fact that young children visit this park often. The gates at the basketball court is broken and is often a major issue with people playing. They gym is wonderful as well. The worst part of this park is the field. The grass is overgrown. In some places, there is no grass at all. This is very frustrating for people wanting to play there. Council, what are you doing????"
"A pleasant family area with a modern children's play area, suitable for a range of ages, picnic benches and a small off-leash dog park towards the top of the hill. There's some tall climbing equipment and long slides, toilet facilities and BBQ areas. Additionally there's a basket ball court and outdoor gym near the shaded picnic area."
"Awesome park! Well set out and lots to do for big kids and little kids. There is a workout gym, basketball courts and shade shelters at the bottom of the hill and then some great playground equipment at the top of the hill. The slide on the tower is really fast!!"
"Such a great park. A bit more for older kids but miss 6 n mr 4 still had a blast. So much to do. Even the grown up child had a blast"
"Great park. Has good equipment for young and older kids. Workout gym, small football field, basketball court, dog park and great views."
