Reviews of Freshwater National Park
"Just nice place to relax and enjoy the bir dlife"
"Mostly undisturbed natural bush. Interesting for city dwellers and nature lovers. Quite sparse vegetation and very dry at times. Close to residential areas and noise from M1 carries. Patrolled to stop theft of local species of flora."
"Not a spectacular park and a good stretch of the walking track is alongside a fenceline with residential homes. However its nice to have a natural reserve in a growing area of suburbia. There are a few good gems of bushland, hollowed out scribbly gums, groves of paperbark, and some fine examples of grass trees"
"Nice bit of nature preserved in a developed area. I went in winter so missed the wild flowers others have commented on but a good range of eucalypts, grass trees, she oaks etc. Entry from Priests Road at the National Park gate, walking track approx 2-3 km loop, clearly marked, level all the way and easy to follow (don't be fooled by a short section that looks like it has reduced to a stony creek bed, it is the track, just keep going). As bush walks go it's not spectacular, no panoramic views and a steady hum of traffic from nearly M1, but if you're in the area and feel like a bit of fresh air it's an option."
"Get on the beach and camp. You own a 4wd then this is a nice easy beach drive, let you tyres down to 25 psi and enjoy."
