Reviews of Tangalooma Wild Dolphin Feeding
"Dolphin feeding was very commercialised, you queue on the beach with 9 million other people to then get 5 seconds in the water with the dolphin. During which they are saying ‘don’t do this don’t do that’ the whole time which is very distracting. Also the constant ‘No flash photography’ is hypocritical when they then proceed to be continually flashing their cameras in your face whilst you feed the dolphin whether you want them to or not to try get you to spend even more money buying their photo. All of that unfortunately takes away the magic from the experience."
"4 dolphins came in during our feed time. They were very playful. Quickly took the fish from us. My 6 year old was mesmerised by them."
"Dolphin feeding was included in our Tangalooma package and it was obvious that many other had the same; after sunset loads of people lined up on the beach to feed a fish to the dolphins. To move all these people through quickly we had to line up in 5-6 queues after which we took turns entering the water. Our dolphin snatched the fish in a millisecond and we had to exit the water to allow the next person in. It was dark and we could only see a bit of the animal in the big lights that were directly toward the water. More of a factory-conveyor-belt than a nature experience unfortunately."
"Did an Explorer bus trip from the Carnival Splendor today . The resort is just stunning with a huge variety of activity options & is now on my bucket list.. HOWEVER our bus driver Mark gave absolutely NO narration, information or descriptions on the shipwrecks, history or lay of the land as apparently the microphone wasn't working? Why the hell NOT❓❓ At $170 for a day tour, we learnt nothing, zero nothing which was very disappointing to all the first time visitors Australian & International visitors. The only reason we learnt anything on the return trip was because a passenger was sitting up in the front seat asking questions.. Brett, the other driver was thoroughly informative & friends on his bus advised us of his expert narration. A total waste of money. The lunch sandwiches were delicious!"
"We have booked for the wild dophin feeding but was told to cancel due to some flood reasons. At the island the staff told us that only guest at the resort can book for the feeding. As we are not the guest but on a one day trip, we are disappointed that we are given the wrong reason. Nevertheless we watch from the stand on the feeding. At the same time there was filming."
