Redland Community Centre
About the Business
Welcome to Redland Community Centre, located at 29 Loraine Street, Capalaba, Australia. As an establishment and point of interest, our mission is to serve the community with care and understanding. We offer a range of essential services and programs to support individuals and families in times of crisis and ongoing disadvantage.
One of our key services is Emergency Relief (ER), where we provide material or financial assistance to those experiencing a crisis. Whether it's a one-off episode or part of a long-term solution, our aim is to maintain dignity and encourage self-reliance for our clients.
In addition, we are proud to house Wynnum Community Place (WCP), a centralized Community Hub that brings services together, connecting the community and delivering social solutions. WCP not only provides food relief and financial assistance, but also serves as a one-stop-shop for all the support you need in Wynnum, either directly or through referral pathways.
Our Homeless United (HU) program, funded by the state, offers support, assistance, information, and advocacy to the homeless in Redlands. With over 300 homeless individuals already connected to the program, we have successfully housed over 200 people, many of whom have gained paid employment once they found housing.
Recognizing the importance of disaster management, we have created the Service Navigator program to help the Redland and Bay Island community better understand and prepare for natural disasters. With a focus on early intervention and self-sufficiency, this program is funded by the Commonwealth/State Disaster Recovery Arrangements (DRFA).
As a non-profit community-based organization, Redland Community Centre operates not only in Capalaba but also has Outreach Service Centres at Wynnum, Russell, and Macleay Island. We are endorsed by the federal government as a public benevolent institution and registered as a charity with the Australian Charities and Not for Profits Commission (ACNC).
Our services extend to the suburbs of the Redland City Council area, including the Bay Islands, as well as the Brisbane suburbs of Wynnum/Manly. We are dedicated to making a positive difference in these communities and are always seeking input from the community on worthy causes to support.
If you own a local business or know someone who does, we invite you to join our growing list of supporters. Corporate sponsorship or support in kind, such as providing food or resources, greatly contributes to our ability to deliver programs and services annually.
There are several ways you can get involved in our activities. You can support our events, become a volunteer in various capacities, or assist us financially. We appreciate your contributions and strive to provide feedback to all our donors, ensuring transparency and accountability.
At Redland Community Centre, we are committed to serving our community with care and understanding. Together, we can make a positive difference in the lives of those in need.
