"We wouldn’t stay again, the rooms were run down and so was the complex the food was incredibly expensive, no entertainment going on, bar closed round the pool early. They need more for kids and adults too you are isolated."
"tried to book a room with kingfisher online keeps redirecting me to the more expensive villas without explanation. 2 days of this issue now. tried talking to their staff on Friday and was told they didn't know why it was doing that. tried to contact they wedding planner to book a tour/meeting with them to possible arrange our wedding their rang twice on Friday and all I received was a one-line text "can I call you later." now Saturday and still waiting. guess they don't need our business. shame how much can change in such a short time."
"Terrible service. I have three kids and needed 3 car seat taken from room to lobby to join the beauty spot tour. I requested a luggage trolley to carry all three car seat from my room which is very far from lobby. The receptionist declined my request and said it was too far and asked me to take them by myself 1 by 1 or ask if someone that can help me. And next day, 1 hr before i catch the 10:30 boat, I requested again to try my luck (2 adults 3 kids under 5 year old i have a lot of bags), as expected they rejected me again said it was too late, i need to tell them one day prior i needed it. This is the first resort that i heard i needed to book a luggage trolley one day before i needed it. LOL~"
"Stayed in one of the executive villas over Easter with some friends and was very disappointed especially after looking at the website I had high expectations. The main reception and pool area where in great condition and we were very excited to see our villa. Unfortunately the unit we stayed in was very dated and in need of some TLC. It wasn't cleaned to a high standard and everything in it was old including the beds and mattresses. In one of the bedrooms the underneath of the bed was frayed and deteriorating, one of the small children staying with us had to lie on a blanket because she could feel the springs on the mattress digging into her. I suspect the bedding as also old as it set off my dust mite allergy. We ate at two of the restaurant's at the resort the Sandbar and the Sand and Wood. The standard of food at the Sandbar was very poor and I got attitude from one of the staff when they got one of our meals wrong. The Sand and Wood was a bit better with friendly staff but the food was underwhelming. Both places were very over-priced for the poor quality food they served. I believe the villa we stayed at was privately owned and it is up to the owners to maintain the accommodation but I think if the resort are managing them they need to be held to a basic standard. We gave our feedback in the Sandbar and at reception and both times we got a standard I'm sorry to hear that response but nothing more. We had a fantastic time on Fraser Island despite this but I would not recommend this resort to anyone."
"Our 3 days at Kingfisher Bay Resort were very relaxing and the staff were great. 4WD day trip was very good and Kevin our guide made the day with his knowledge and humour. The ranger guides Annie, Kaylee and Emily were great and enjoyed a laugh on our activities. Dealt with Brooke at reception a couple of times. Her friendship and help was outstanding. Sand and Wood restaurant was good and Jesse Deia and Paula made our nights enjoyable. Food great. Only critisim is Beef Cheeks a small meal and hot water too hot Will be back"
