Lions Park
About the Business
Welcome to Lions Park, a beautiful establishment located at Kings Beach, Arthur Street, 6 in Australia. Lions Park is not your ordinary park - it is a point of interest that offers a wide range of activities and experiences for visitors of all ages.
One of the highlights of Lions Park is the opportunity to see native animals up close. Take a guided roost tour and learn about the fascinating wildlife that calls this park home. Additionally, you can enjoy an outdoor movie under the stars and listen to local bat experts share their knowledge about these incredible creatures.
If you're looking for a way to beat the traffic, Lions Park is the perfect place to relax and unwind. Sugar Road and Maud Street can be heavily congested during peak hours, but improving this important transit route for vehicles, buses, walking, and riding is a top priority for the Council. You can view the concept design and share your feedback before September 15 or attend a community drop-in session to speak directly with the project team.
For art enthusiasts, Lions Park is also a hub of creativity during the Horizon Festival. From August 25 to September 3, Cotton Tree Park, located nearby, transforms into a vibrant space filled with free roving bees, bubbles, pop-up drummers, and dance battles. Immerse yourself in the arts and enjoy 10 days of artistic expression.
At Lions Park, we also believe in sustainability and community engagement. Join Michele Lipner from OzHarvest to learn how you can reduce your carbon footprint and save money. Additionally, discover how you can contribute to defending our region from invasive species, ensuring the preservation of our natural environment.
The Council's Community Grants Program is another initiative aimed at supporting not-for-profit organizations. This program provides funding for projects, events, and activities that meet the needs of the community and create a positive impact. Join us in making a difference.
If you're a music lover, Lions Park has something special for you. Experience three days of live music by the beach, spread across six stages. Immerse yourself in an eclectic mix of genres and enjoy the lively atmosphere.
Join our heritage family by volunteering at Bankfoot House or Landsborough Museum. Help preserve our rich history and make a meaningful contribution to our community.
Lastly, don't miss out on the opportunity to welcome the Shorebirds back to the Sunshine Coast. Secure your tickets now and witness the beauty of these migratory birds.
In addition to all these exciting activities, Lions Park is also proud to be part of the recycling revolution on the Sunshine Coast. A revolutionary new $40.5 million material recycling facility is nearing completion and will be operational by the end of the year. This facility will play a crucial role in helping us sort and manage our waste more efficiently.
We're also delighted to share heartwarming stories like the one about a happy reunion thanks to pet registration. We understand the importance of responsible pet ownership and the joy of being reunited with a beloved furry friend.
Come and visit Lions Park, where nature, community, and adventure come together to create unforgettable experiences.

"Neat park , right by the beach .kids loved it"
"A beautiful slice of Queensland! Not too far from Brisbane, which makes it convenient."
"Park is great for smaller kids with fountains and like. Has become quite commercialised and pricey over the years, but to be expected. Jump trampoline set up from time-to-time always seems to attract kids but quite a let down. Save your money. Straps cut into legs and torture kids, especially if thicker thighs. Don't know if strapped in wrong, but had to tell him to take my child off who was almost in tears. Alright for lighter kids but then they can be left hanging in air a little. Guy couldn't care less so long as he had your cash. Otherwise good bbqs, park, beach and pool (though pool best when you know it's been freshly cleaned, otherwise I'd steer clear ;))"
"Beautiful views, lifeguards on patrol, free pool for little ones. Definitely worth a trip with the family."
