About Whites Hill Reserve Play Park
Welcome to Whites Hill Reserve Play Park! Located in Camp Hill, Boundary Road, 258, Whites Hill Reserve is a sprawling institution spread across 170 hectares of pristine bushland, just seven kilometers southeast of Brisbane's CBD. This establishment is not only a point of interest but also an important refuge for various vegetation communities, including open eucalypt forest and rainforest.
One of the highlights of Whites Hill Reserve is Sankeys Scrub, a precious remnant of dry rainforest that provides a home to rare species of flora such as Shirley's tuckeroo, Queensland nut, prickly snake vine, and white beech. The reserve's diverse range of habitats makes it a vital sanctuary for a wide variety of wildlife, with 62% of Brisbane's mammals, 18% of reptiles, 33% of amphibians, and 27% of birds being identified during fauna surveys.
Visitors to Whites Hill Reserve can immerse themselves in nature by exploring the numerous walking tracks and trails available. The reserve also offers a range of recreational facilities, including picnic and barbecue areas, playground equipment, and sporting fields catering to touch football, cricket, and soccer. The expansive fields are also perfect for other activities like kite-flying and informal games.
For those seeking breathtaking views, a climb to the top of Whites Hill is a must. From this vantage point, you can admire the stunning panorama of the city peeking through the lush greenery. While at the summit, take a moment to delve into the rich history of Whites Hill, which has played a significant role in Brisbane's evolution as a city.
Whites Hill Reserve is easily accessible through a car parking area off Boundary Road, Camp Hill. Additionally, a dog off-leash area is conveniently located adjacent to Boundary Road, providing a safe space for your furry friends to roam and play.
We invite you to explore Whites Hill Reserve's photo gallery, showcasing the beauty of this natural wonderland. As you browse through the images, you'll gain a deeper appreciation for the incredible biodiversity and stunning landscapes that make Whites Hill Reserve truly special.
Before the establishment of the Moreton Bay Penal Colony in 1824, the Whites Hill area was inhabited by Australian Indigenous people, adding a layer of cultural significance to the reserve. Over the years, Whites Hill has witnessed various activities, from farming and waste disposal to hosting Queensland's first commercial tourist operations, including a teahouse on the summit.
In 1934, Brisbane City Council acquired the majority of the land, now known as Whites Hill Reserve, recognizing its ecological significance and its potential for providing diverse recreational opportunities. As a council, we acknowledge and pay our respects to the Traditional Custodians of this land, past, present, and future.
Join us at Whites Hill Reserve Play Park and immerse yourself in the beauty of nature, uncover the rich history, and enjoy the array of recreational activities on offer.

Reviews of Whites Hill Reserve Play Park
"Great parked with plenty of variety in play equipment for varied ages. Plenty of grass space and nature play areas. Area is fenced. Outside the fence area is a cafe, large green space and gym area. Toilets on site. Plenty of space for bikes, scooters, etc."
"Good fenced playground. Gets busy. Looks like more car parks are getting built. Looks like they are improving the sport fields Drone action Saturday night. Fast toys."
"One of the best trails I’ve ever visited in Queensland. The view is absolutely stunning! And the distance of this whole track is quite decent. The entrance is a big park with many children play grounds which are things I’m not interested. But anyway the trails in behind of this children playground is really amazing! You must visit it. I also saw the first koala in my life when I was hiking here."
"This is a great park set against the backdrop of Whites Hill. There is a sensory area, flying fox, paths for bikes and scooters, swings, slides and quite a bit of shade. The whole playground is fenced. If you want to do a bit of exercise, there is also an outdoor gym just outside of the fenced area."
