About Grinstead Park
Welcome to Grinstead Park, a hidden gem located in Enoggera, Australia. As an establishment, point of interest, and tourist attraction, Grinstead Park offers a multitude of exciting amenities and activities for visitors of all ages.
Situated on Shand Street, Grinstead Park is currently undergoing an exciting transformation. From 15 April to 26 June, weather permitting, the Brisbane City Council is installing a brand new playground and swing set. While this construction takes place, the immediate area will be temporarily closed for safety reasons.
One of the highlights of Grinstead Park is its expansive car park, ensuring that visitors have convenient access to all the amenities. For those looking to stay active, there is an outdoor fitness and exercise circuit, perfect for a rejuvenating workout surrounded by nature. Afterward, you can relax and enjoy a delightful picnic in the sheltered area, complete with an electric barbecue for those who want to grill up a delicious meal.
Grinstead Park also prides itself on being a habitat restoration site, dedicated to preserving and enhancing the natural environment. The park is home to a diverse range of flora and fauna, making it a haven for nature lovers and wildlife enthusiasts.
Families with children will be delighted to find two playgrounds within the park. The small playground on Royal Parade offers a safe and fun space for young children to play, while the district and accessible playground on Shand Street ensures inclusivity for all abilities.
For those looking for some friendly competition, Grinstead Park features a rebound wall, perfect for practicing your ball skills. Additionally, the shared pathways throughout the park allow for leisurely walks or bike rides, providing a scenic route to explore the surroundings.
Convenience is also a priority at Grinstead Park, with toilet facilities available for visitors. The park also offers disabled access to water through a bubbler, ensuring everyone's needs are met.
Within close proximity to Grinstead Park, you'll find even more attractions to explore. The nearby playgrounds on Corbett Street and Sicklefield Street offer additional options for children to enjoy. The Grinstead Park Bushcare Group also maintains a restoration site, where volunteers work tirelessly to preserve the park's natural beauty.
As you visit Grinstead Park, take a moment to acknowledge the rich cultural heritage of the land. Brisbane City Council pays tribute to the Traditional Custodians of this Country and extends respect to the Elders, both past and present.
Come and experience the beauty, tranquility, and exciting new additions at Grinstead Park. Whether you're seeking outdoor adventures, family fun, or simply a peaceful retreat, this enchanting destination has something for everyone.
Reviews of Grinstead Park
"Great activities for kids with a big playground and scooter park. Not so much for toddlers and younger. Walking from here on kedron Brook is always nice and peaceful. Good for riding too"
"Great place for the kids. Bring the bikes and scooters, then switch to playing at the Fort. The kids can't get enough. However, we did have to queue for the toilets and everyone loves it, so parking is a challenge. But ...there are toilets! And BBQs."
"The council has transformed this place to a heaven. I could see loads and loads of kids enjoying their Sunday morning here. New bike track, lovely lawn for picnic and a lots of BBQ spots. Great place to let the kids loose and have full of fun while parents can relax on a picnic mat."
"Beautiful park - great scooter and bicycle track, playground looks a real treat for the kids, basketball court, gym, open grass land, creek nearby, bbq facilities. Will definitely be back. Car parking seems to be all around the park but for first timers you like us, you may just end up parking where you see others first."
"Nice learn to ride scooter park and playground. Perfect for little ones learning to ride and learn about road rules. Mainly flat paths with round about and a few small humps in one area. Adjacent part has lots of climbing equipment, slides, swings etc bring a hat has there isn't much shade"
