Welcome to Katrina Molino Grief Counselling, a trusted institution located in Malvern, Australia. With over 30 years of experience as a Social Worker, I specialize in supporting families and children through the grieving process. As an accredited Grief and Bereavement counsellor, I have recently focused on helping families who have experienced the loss of a neonatal or young child.

My expertise also extends to Therapeutic Couple Counselling, where I have completed an internship with Relationships Australia. This has given me deep insight into the impact of grief on relationships and how to strengthen them following a loss in the family. Additionally, I have worked with families at the Children's Hospital in Sydney, providing support to those parenting children who have been removed from their biological families for protective reasons. My experience also covers areas such as adoption, disability, and terminal illness.

At Katrina Molino Grief Counselling, we understand that grief is a complex process with unique needs for each individual. We aim to provide a supportive environment that acts as a scaffold for your grief, allowing you to create a secure footing to reengage with the world. Our goal is to help you navigate the difficult questions that arise during the grieving process, such as why certain deaths are more challenging to overcome, why tears continue long after the loss, and how to cope when your world feels shattered.

Grief counseling is about relearning how the world works and rediscovering your sense of self. I have dedicated my practice to supporting individuals, couples, and families who have experienced loss and change in their lives. I am particularly passionate about helping those who have lost a loved one and guiding them through the ambivalence and complexity of death. Together, we can develop the skills necessary to make life more manageable.

To make an appointment, simply reach out to us and you will receive a confirmation email. We also provide a reminder text the day before your appointment. Our fees are $130 per hour, with additional travel fees calculated at $50 per hour. Please note that we require a minimum of 48 hours (business days) notice for cancellations, otherwise a full hour's fee will be charged.

For those who are currently pregnant or have been pregnant in the last 12 months, our fees are eligible for a Medicare rebate. With a referral from your GP, you can claim Medicare benefits for up to 3 counselling sessions per pregnancy. Please ask your GP for a referral and provide them with the Medicare item number 81005.

Our private practice is conveniently located at 1227 - 1229 Malvern Road, Malvern. Parking is available on both sides of the street, although please be mindful of Clearway signs. The closest train station is Gardiner Railway Station on the Glen Waverley Line, which is a 20-minute walk from our practice. Alternatively, the number 72 tram, which runs along Malvern Road, has a stop just 2 minutes away.
