"The vet I saw had poor education and knowledge on mast cell tumors and tried to push a $2000 surgery claiming it was the only thing they could do. When I said I can't pay for another $2000 surgery and asked for alternative options and brought up antihistamines and prednisone it was like she had never heard of them before and shook her head and said no. Vet needs to update her knowledge from what she learnt in her textbook at university and read the new evidence, data and protocols for this condition, I walked away with no trust in this vet and am going elsewhere to an experienced knowledgeable vet."
