Dr Maxwell Michael

"I thought I needed to share my experience with this doctor as I myself count on reading reviews prior to booking an appointment with a medical professional. If you are a soft hearted and empathic person this may not be the doctor for you. Doctor Maxwell has a lot of knowledge and experience in his field. However, he does lack empathy, a warm heart and understanding. I met Dr Maxwell on the day I found out I had a miscarriage. Upon meeting him for the first time I was lucky enough to get a D and C booked in straight away. However, upon getting the D and C only half of the baby/tissue was removed, with him leaving the other half in. It measured at 2.2cm with him only removing 1.1cm. I complained after the procedure I was in pain, with his beautiful secretary advising me to go and get another ultrasound to which I did and we found the other half was still left inside. I was admitted back into hospital. Mr Maxwell decided not to operate and told me it would pass. I asked him for medication to induce the process of passing the baby but it did not work. Furthermore, after two days Dr Maxwell told me that I didn’t need endo for the pain as I would become addicted and made me feel I was making the pain up. Upon being in the hospital for another 2 nights he ordered another ultrasound to which we discovered that the tissue was connected to the uterus and would not unattached itself anytime soon. I asked the radiologist if I was making up the pain or if I was in severe pain. She informed me I was not making up the pain and that I was in pain and I should have been provided endo. Upon returning to my hospital bed I was in tears. I was in tears as the doctor made me feel that I was making up this pain and in tears as I lost my baby. Doctor Maxwell attended the hospital and did not offer any certainty that he could remove the other half of the tissue/deceased baby. So we asked for another opinion/obstetrician . The other obstetrician gave me confidence and put me in for another d and c 1 hour later and successfully removed the rest. I am finally recovering and have never heard back from Dr Maxwell. I hope my experience will assist you in deciding whether he is the doctor for you"
