"After 20 odd years of having my home , cars and businesses insured with the Guild , even though they were never the least expensive , they have told me they no longer want my car or home insurance since I sold my pharmacies and no longer have need of business insurance. They are now too big and important to return any loyalty I may have shown them over more than 2 decades , since I no longer fit their 'profit algorithm' . They did kindly offer to 'maybe' renew my house insurance if I was not likely to flood , or have a bushfire !!! I have found alternate insurance ( at a much lower premium) and I heartily advise you all to do the same ."
"Two claims. Nit at fault at all. Both denied. Pay $400/month for my business and have been left out to dry on both occasions. Absolute joke of a company. Indemnity insurance isn't worth a stamp. Business contents insurance not worth a stamp. Managed to screw literally everything up and I am taking it much further. Any veterinarians out there, know you WILL be left in the cold."
"When we lodged a property claim due to storm damage, they took almost 3 months to process it - and then refused to cover. Meanwhile, the damage was affecting our business. When I read their fine print, I wondered what they do actually cover... Now we have paid 5 years of expensive insurance premiums AND have to cover all repairs out of our own pocket. My advice - choose someone else!!!!"
"It's extremely rare that I'd take the step of posting a bad public review. However, I have been trying to purchase insurance cover for a couple of days and have sat on hold for 40 minutes the first time and more than 10 minutes the second time. There was no online payment option for the quote that was supplied. I sent an email asking to be called back, but no-one replied. So I give up. I am unable to buy insurance from Guild and have now gone to a competitor."
