ARB Caloundra

"ARB Caloundra fitted an ARB Frontier 128 litre fuel tank about 2 years ago. Problem 1: Shortly after fitting, the vehicle engine ran out of fuel with approximately 40 litres left in the fuel tank leaving us in a life threating situation. ARB Caloundra reluctantly investigated and found the supply and return fuel lines were connected back to front. They blamed the factory and the fault wasn’t picked up by their workshop despite the sales person claiming that it was visually obvious. Problem 2: Fuel gauge suddenly stopped working. Found that the sender electrical connector on fuel tank was severely damaged through mistreatment. However this was not the cause of the faulty fuel reading. Problem 3: Fuel sender float was missing from modified sender unit. Fuel tank needed to be removed so that the float could be retrieved and securely reattached. In summary, my experience with ARB Caloundra has indicated that when things don’t go as planned, a client focus would benefit all concerned. ARB Caloundra refused to accept any responsibility for problems 2 and 3. They were also really reluctant to even believe that there was an issue with the first problem."
