"On August 15, 2023, I arrived at the Amazon Flex warehouse around 2:00 PM. I was the first in line, but for some reason, they gave me the packages last, causing all the vehicles behind me to wait until I finished. However, the packages weren't scanned for a long time, and the staff couldn't assist me. In the end, I spent about an hour waiting, but I didn't receive the packages. I had spent 2 hours of my time on the road, and also used money for fuel. Thanks to Amazon Flex and their excellent personnel, I ended up losing $50 from my wallet. If you have extra money and plenty of free time, Amazon Flex is exactly what you need."
"I work for Amazon Flex and it's awful. I live in North Lakes, and they constantly send me to Logan, which takes a 3-hour round trip just for the commute, plus 4 more hours for delivering packages. So, in total, I spend 7 hours driving, and they pay me $120. After subtracting $60 for fuel and oil, my net profit is $60. This means I'm making $8 per hour. On top of that, there's a glitchy app that doesn't work for check-ins if you have an Android phone. You have to buy an iOS device, but even with that, you'll encounter difficulties as you can't cancel a block if you change your mind about making a delivery. The payment is even lower than Uber Eats, for example in the USA, Amazon Flex pays $120 USD, not AUD, despite the fact that housing, food, and fuel are much cheaper there than in Australia. I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone."
"When you wondering why your parcels are missing or not delivered, you can recall a company said they are the most customer-centric company on earth. If gigs companies can still keep making profit, how much chance they will turn around and start to look after their workers and customers?"
"My package wasn't delivered, was told delivery was attempted and they will try again despite me being home and seeing no driver arrive. No further delivery attempts were made and after multiple days of calling support was told that the driver was not able to locate the package in their car, and that the item was not eligible for replacement. Amazon has stolen hundreds from me and continues to delay refunds every day."
"I live in a unit. The number 1/16. They sent me a delivery photo of my parcel hanging out of a letterbox with a large number 32 on the front. I found 32. But only because their letterbox is memorable. It's also on a different street. Of COURSE there is no way to contact anyone about your missing parcel. Thank GOD there's a photo so you can go on your own scavenger hunt. That's sarcasm. Clearly"
